I will be staying at the hotel and reserved a parking space in the underground garage. Since there isn't any parking to drop off bags, where can I park to check in?
Hi there, You do not need a code to open the garage, it is done remotely by the hotel when you pop in to tell them you have arrived/on your way to the garage.
The street is very narrow in front of the hotel, but there is limited parking about 50-100 meters uphill toward the square.
It Is a small one way street . Not a lot of traffic. Just the odd taxi.
The taxi stopped outside the hotel entrance which is virtually on the road and took out our bags. It’s not a problem unloading, then you drive on to the bottom of the road and turn left up the road to the back of the hotel to the small car park It will be quite easy.
Do not worry. The street outside of the hotel is one way and not very busy. Stop immediately outside of the hotel and pop into reception (small at the front) and tell them you are driving down to the car park, you do not need to check in then. They will remotely open the door for you. Continue driving down the street towards the Alcazar, turn left at the bottom and the car park entrance will be open and signed on your left a little further around the road. Once you have parked (rather tight spaces), there is a lift up to all the floors including the reception so you can easily get your luggage up and check in at your leisure. Hope this helps.
Also, note that the Hotel has a reserved signposted street space about 50 metres up the road at the previous corner. We parked our vehicle there just to check in and to get directions to the garage parking. You don't need to stress about blocking the street in front.
To check in we found street parking nearby quite easily, but if you contact the hotel I think they will let you into the car park, then you can take the lift to reception. Hotel staff here were very helpful. Ask for directions to the car park as it at the rear of hotel in a different street.
We blocked the road in front of the hotel briefly to ask where the parking is, then parked, and there is an elevator up from the garage/parking area. We officially checked in after parking.
