Me and my wife are coming here next month and I was just wondering if anyone knew the cheapest way of getting from Charles de Gaulle airport to the hotel? Or would I be better of paying for transfers?

Hi , you have different options:

A taxi should be between 50 to 90 euros depending on traffic. You can also take the public transportation or the Air France bus, which are much cheaper:

Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport:

RER B Gare du Nord stop > metro line 4 Barbès Rochechouart stop > metro line 2 Rome stop

Around 12 euros

Air France Coach:

The Air France Bus company can also drop you off to Paris. For more informations you can go to their website

15 euros.

We can arrange the transportation from the hotelier the way back.

See you soon!

I took the RER to Gare du Nord and then switched to the Metro and got off at the Rome stop. It's only a couple of blocks from the Rome stop. It cost less than other options, and got us right into taking the trains since we were going to be using them every day anyway. I highly recommend downloading the Next Stop Paris app. You can put in your destination and it will give you the lines, routes, and stops you need to take to get there.

You could use metro, as it's very close and cheap, but you'll have to deal with stairs & your luggage, which is why I didn't do it. I used a transfer company (EU 26) and if you email the hotel they should be able to arrange it for you, with their nominated transfer company. Good luck!

Depends how much your transfers would be, but I would check out the RATP website.

It's very good for journey planning and we used it on our trip at the end of March. From what I remember, if using public transport, you need to get a train from the airport to the Gare Du Nord. You then need to get the Metro to Rome station which is very near the hotel. You are better off getting metro tickets at the airport, not Gare Du Nord, as it is a bit hectic and scary (although apart from that station, I found the metro to be cheap, efficient and not scary at all, although use common sense re pickpockets etc). I can't remember exact costs; I think it was something like ten euros each to get from the airport to Gare Du Nord, then it's a metro ticket for your journey to the hotel (think they're about 15 euros for a book of ten tickets, which you'll need anyway in Paris). That said, we used a transfer service for our trip back to the airport; I think it was something like 36 euros for the two of us (booked at the hotel) so if you don't mind paying a bit more, you may as well do it. Anyway, enjoy your trip; the hotel is nice and I'd go there again.
