Tour Schedule 2016 - March 1st 2016 - October 31st 2016: Tours run daily. Start time: Mondays to Saturday (inclusive) 11.30am, Sundays and Bank Holidays at 1pm International Bar (Pub) on Wicklow Street. There was over 100 people there the day my daughter and I did it so we were divided into 4 tour groups and 4 guides took us off in staggered groups. Rory our guide was brilliant... well worth the time (2 hrs) and money - the guides knowledge of the period was fantastic. He covered 800 years of history up to 1916 in the 1st 20 mins which was brilliant way to refresh the Irish memories and give an understanding to the foreign tourists. He took us via Trinity, the Central bank to O Connell Street and GPO and Moore Street and O'Rahilly Parade where he transported us with the emotion and fear of those days as if we were there. He had a book with photos of the period showing the devastation of the battle. He brought history to life ! Don't miss this if you are in Dublin.
Our tour started from outside The International Bar on the corner of Wicklow Street. 11.30 Monday to Saturday and 1pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Lorcan will be there to greet you. He has a website 1916 rebellion walking tour which gives all the details. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
.....and it starts at 11:30 AM
Ours departed from Trinity & we ended it at the GPO . But the guide was totally flexiable so I'd say you can dictate, within reason.
It starts at The International Bar on Wicklow Street and ends on Moore Street, which is behind the General Post Office
