Collins Day Tours Questions & Answers

Hudson, Ohio

Hello. I am considering this day trip from Dublin. Does Collins Day Tour allow enough time to do these 3 things at the 3 hour Kilkenny stop: eat lunch in a restaurant, take the complimentary walking tour and tour the Kilkenny Castle (I have heard the castle takes over an hour)? If not, are there quick, take-away, lunch options there?

Thank you!

Hello, yes there is enough time in Kilkenny if you don't visit the castle. But if you want to visit the castle, you will find many pubs and fast foods or you can buy sandwiches . If you want to go to Glendalough, you will not have enough time to visit everything you want.Hope this helps.

There is not enough time to do everything, I went for food in a pub and walked around myself .

I don't think so. We did the tour of Kilkenny Castle and they only do one tour an hour.

You're right, it's not a lot of time..we had plenty of time to eat at a restaurant, walk through the town's little open market and around town. We didn't take the tour but I know others did, so seems like plenty of time to eat and do the castle tour.
