I have booked this hotel for the Xmas markets.is this suitable hotel for my elderly mum.
Thank you for your question. There are 27 steps to walk up to get to the lobby, but then there is a lift that operates on all floors of the hotel from the lobby.
Another thing to note is that we are located on Princes Street, the busiest street in Edinburgh and during December, with the Christmas market going on, it can get noisy. The noise is only noticeable if you have a Princes Street facing room. Rooms at the back of the hotel aren't affected.
Our members of staff will be happy to help you with luggage and with anything else you may need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We hope this helps answer your question and don't hesitate to get in touch if you require any further assistance.
Steps up to reception but buses & tram stops & right on Princes Street & opposite railway station.
Yes, there are elevators, however, stairs from second floor lobby to street level. Those are the only obstacles I notices. Rob
It has no lift up the first 10 steps but apart from that yeah
Well it has a lots of stairs to go up to reception and then they have a lift for to go to the rooms
there is a flight of stairs to get up to reception, the lift was broken when we got there, 5 flights of stairs we had to walk to get to our room.
