Hi! I'm planning a visit to Edinburgh in August 2018, during the Fringe. How far in advance should I make my hotel reservation?

Hi,

Thank you for your question. As others have said, hotels book up quickly in August so it is better to book well in advance, as soon as you know the dates you'd like to come up, book your hotel then.

That said, December is usually when we start filling up quickly as this is when tickets go on sale for the Military Tattoo - a hugely popular event during August.

Thank you again, and I hope this helps answer your question.

Edinburgh gets very busy, we only ate hear as I'm from Edinburgh

Give hotel a call, they may be able to give you a better idea of how far in advance you should book

It's right on main shopping street with views over Edinburgh and easy walking distance to most places of interest

Enjoy your stay

Book asap Hotels sell out very quickly during the festival. The prices also rocket to stupid money in some occasions.
