Take the 04 bus to Paso Ancho and tell driver you want to get off at Cuale Paradise. It's a bit over a mile walk but lovely, interesting, real Mexican (non-touristy) neighborhood.

We took a taxi there as we were unfamilar with the restuarant being our first time going there. Being older the taxi was a good way to go. Not very expensive.

We took the Bus both times, it was enjoyable, cheap and easy!!! The Blue and White Bus ends at Boca, and you see the Sign by the Road. It is not very far after you pass through Mismaloya.

The cost is 8 pesos each.

The Buses line up by the XOXO store on Basillo Badillo and pay attention to whats written on the Windshield as well as you can ask the Driver. Its a Great Adventure!!!

Taking a cab is the fastest most reliable way. Cost was 80 pesos. You can also get there by picking up a R-04 bus from the northwest corner of the intersection of Pino Suarez and Lazaro Cardenas. The bus will be heading west on Francisco I Madero, then turns left onto Pino Suarez (wave it down at the corner before it turns leftagain onto Lazaro Cardenas). It must be a R-04 bus and it must also have Paso Ancho or P.A. on the windshield (we got on a R-04 bus that did not have Paso Ancho on the windshield and it was not the correct bus. The restaurant is located down a little dirt lane which goes off to to right just before the bus goes up a hill (before it gets into Paso Ancho). Ask the driver to let you off at the restaurant in advance. It is easy to miss if you haven't been there before. That is why a cab might be better for the first visit. We took a cab to the restaurant and took the bus back.

Note that the river will be on the right side of the road as you head towards the restaurant. Just beyond the restaurant, the road crosses the river. If you find that the river is on your left, you have gone too far.

And don't try to walk there from Old Town...Google Maps says it is 2.5km and 33min from Parque Lazaro Cardenas, but you'll pick up road dirt from passing vehicles along the way. If you want to arrive clean and fresh, I would ride. If you insist on walking, have a GPS mapping device with you.

if you like to do a lot of walking you can do that but I would only walk during daylight hours as its quite the walk, otherwise take a cab.
