Royal Villas Resort Questions & Answers

Cambridge, Canada

Can you tell me how you booked your suite? I see on the sunwing site that it just lists a room.

Did the suite have a bedroom with a door?

We are looking to coming here for a few week in the New Year, but I really need a bedroom with a door for our different sleeping schedules.

My answer below (Jan St Paul) may have been misleading. The resort has larger one BR suites (Suites Palenque) with a door to the BR. The JR suites(Junior Suite Mitla) are as I described, with no separate BR or door. But also, the resort does have two BR suites (Suite Palenque) also available.

We booked our suites through Sun Country Airlines along with our flight. The Jr. Suites do not have a separate bedroom with a door. They are really just hotel rooms plus a very small "kitchen" area. The resort does have two BR suites, however. That may be more what you want.

I've actually been staying there since 2001 so I call royal villas directly and book. So if you find a good deal on a website you can let them know and they will usually match it or depending on the season beat it! The suites do have a separate living room and bedroom with 2 restrooms usually about $180 a night depending on season, but the jr suites are really roomy but do not have separate rooms a lot cheaper though!! Good Luck Enjoy!

I think we booked the room through TripAdvisor. We had a large suite with two entry doors (one into the living room/kitchen and another into the bedroom) and then there was a door that separated the two rooms. Very private. :-)
