Unsure if this hotel is actually a self catering holiday. The villas all have fully equipped kitchens so can you advise please. Also as I'm confined to a wheelchair do you think it would be doable with my hubby's help?
The Villas have a bedroom on the ground floor so with your husband's help you will be able to get around. The Villas have fully equipped kitchens. We also have a restaurant on the property serving both lunch and dinner. All of our Villas have infinity pools.
As per the hotels response I totally agree, the villas are spacious, you'll have no problem wheeling around the villa. The only stairs at our villa (if you stay in the ground floor bedroom as we did) were down to the pool, about 4 or 5 steps from memory. Totally do-able with a little help! The kitchen has everything. Fridge, freezer, wine fridge (although wine is so expensive in Tobago. Rum is a good alternative!) Oven, hob, coffee machine, gas barbeque, pots and pans etc. The only thing you will need to buy is food to cook.... Penny Savers is the main supermarket chain over there. The day we arrived the hotel kindly organised a car to take us to the local supermarket so that we could stock up... And then after sleeping on it we decided to hire a car, which the hotel also organised for us at a brilliant price.... And the car arrived at out villa within an hour of me asking for it.... I can't speak highly enough of the fabulous service these guys offer. Well worth hiring a car to see the island, also the villas are on a steep hill, it sounds silly, but you or your hubby will be get quite worn out getting up and down it without a car... It is well worth the hill for the magnificent views of the Caribbean though. However, there is a Resturant that is highly recommended on sight, and a 10 min walk are at least 3 other restaurants, including the Seahorse inn which also does outstanding food, or there is Buccaneers bar which does lovely but somewhat cheaper "bar food" burgers, wings, roti etc. There is a pizza place about a 10 min walk up the road so if you don't drive it's not a problem, and you will get wonderfully fit climbing that hill back to the villa. I didn't mind it at all as I could throw myself straight into the private infinity pool as soon as I got back to the villa!
I've rambled on a bit, I hope I've been helpful.... I'm a little excited as I've just booked up to return there next year and I can't wait!
