Can you fellow trip advisors help please? Visiting in a couple weeks and have booked tickets, but doing Peru trip independently...Do you HAVE to get a guide now? Can we just find one at the gate? How much is a guide, and will they be 'official' eg. cash or card??( guessing cash).
We are planning to get the first bus up and enter at 6am. We have tickets to climb Huaynu Picchu between 7 and 8 so won't have much time before this. May try and buy another ticket for the afternoon as understand you are 'guided' out after the climb..?
Thank you for any up to date info and advice.
I can not find the sunrise at Machu Picchu package using the word salkantay tours, that is not offered.
We really want to be up there early.
Can we go to Peru (Cusco) without any vaccinations? I'm scared that I might be rejected at the airport. Will appreciate ang information. Thanks.
Would you please give me an idea on prices to get into MP, as well as what I should expect to pay by a tour guide?
Im planning a trip to machu picchu during august and will like to know how much time in machu picchu with gate 1 and if the time was enough.
Thank You !
Hello. On May 11, we have tickets to hike Huayna Picchu at 10:00AM, so we're entering the ruins for the morning shift. When we finish the hike, our plan is to take the bus back to Aguas Caliente for our 4:20PM train to Ollyantaytambo. Are we cutting it too close? If we can line up for the bus by 1:00, let's say, do you think we would be able to make it back to AC for our 4:20PM train, or are the lines for the bus so crazy long, it's a risk? When people talk of walking back from Machu Picchu, are they talking about walking back to Aquas Caliente? Thank you all in advance for your help. -Steve
