Airport is about one hour from this hotel. Bring a good dictionary or guidance to communicate, surprisingly enough very few people speak elglish in China, even at the hotel a few English speakers.

Hotel is pretty centrally located which means that you can walk to several restaurants around the area (where the stores and shops are located) if you walk for 15 mins you find several restaurans, at the hotel there is one restaurant in the very bottom floor (like the basement or under the main lobby floor) and right accros the main lobby entrance of the hotel there is another restaurant (a bit fancier) you just walk a few steps.

If you plan to exchange money at the hotel make sure your bills are clean and crispy without marks since they won't take them at the exchange place otherwise, also I always recommend to exchange at the hotel and no other place.

If you buy goods ALWAYS negotiate. They are used to that

The Great Wall of China is huge And has several entrances, you will find many ways to spend a whole day there or even several days going back if you really want to enjoy the Great Wall experience. I highly recommend hiring a private tour guide, it's very affordable and there are many freelancers your guides that you can hire ahead of your trip. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the Great Wall and one advice no matter where you go in China (except hotels) the bathrooms are not any western traditional toilets, so be ready for the difference. Chinese people are very nice and welcoming

Try the delicious and traditional famous Pekin duck that they cut in plenty of pieces and even how they eat it is wonderful.

Have fun in China!
