Does anyone have any insight about shade on the beach at Bimini Sands? I am traveling there next month and am fully aware it will be very hot. I've been told there are no beach umbrellas so am wondering if maybe the trees provide some shade? Any advice about beating the heat in general is welcome. I've been to Fort Lauderdale in the summer and I didn't find it to be too bad, so hoping Bimini is similar. Thanks!
I have heard that this property is under new management ( Big Game)? IS transition of new management complete? Also some of the property is being renovated? WHat are the time lines for renovation?
We have a boat , we dive and fish so we have narrowed it down to Sands and Big Game to stay in June 2017.
Do you have a day rate, example 11:00am - 3:30pm ? If not is there a hotel on the island that does offer a day rate?
Is the resort handicap friendly? Is there an elevator and is transportation readily available for someone unable to walk a distance? Are golf carts available for rent or are there taxi services readily available? Are there any rooms with showers instead of tubs?
Is the problem I read of with lack of ice and bottled water the norm or is it being addressed? I also understand from someone who has visited there frequently that the food is not as good as before at the Beach Club on the island under the new management. Answers and feed back will be appreciated.
A past visitor suggested bringing your own food to the resort. Are there cooking facilities in the rooms?
Can anyone help me with how to get to Bimini? I have a flight booked to Ft Lauderdale but now they have cancelled the ferries and I can't find a flight for less than $400 per person for our family of four? Thank you to anyone who can provide any info!
