Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is our fourth cruise with P&O and our first since COVID. Received an email the day before travel informing that there had been instances of gastrointestinal disease on the previous cruise. This cruise should have been cancelled and P&O are negligent for not doing so! Hundreds of people had come down with the disease by the time we reached the Canaries and hundreds of holidays ruined. Will never cruise with P&O again and you shouldn't.

No idea on diary requirements, even went to diatry meeting and was not informed that you could book gluten free 24 hours in advance, only found out after complaining in main dining area about lack of choice. Waterside very poor staff including helper when asked what else stated plenty and started pointing out vegan and vegetarian, food cross contamination gluten free cakes with none gluten free, in mornings all gluten free taken up with non gluten free cerials and dispencers. One choice for wife who is gluten free and no meat. glasses and cups standing on tray in pools water on tray that looked very dirty. Glasses plastic which I understand but had to choose very carefully as most had lipstick remains on. To small for number of passengers. Difficult to find seat more like ferry than cruise ship food. Main dining room repetitive bland and cool food, small portions especially veg 4 pieces carrot size little finger nail seven peas and four chips with steak, sausage cut in half lengthways at breakfast everybody says standards dropping. Had to ask for condiments toast served butter later.Nova virus at start, cleared then another outbreak. Cabin with balcony informed can not be used when at sea confirmed by reception. Toilet never worked properly anything from immediate to never flush smell stale urine reported several times by steward and ourselves never resolved. Entertainment mediocre Pulse very poor. Elton John was highlight. No port information only brief history shuttle busses €4. General feeling of disappointment on board definitely P&O cutting back worst cruise ever hope other cruise companies are not penny pinching

If you have food intolerances, allergies, veggie, vegan, please don’t bother with P&O cruises. Just got back from cruise to med on Ventura, the food was a joke, even after I spoke to p&o before booking to make sure we could be catered for. In our party we had wheat allergies, milk allergies and Vegan diet. We paid the same as everyone else but could not eat by the pool in the pizza, ice cream or burger grill places. Hardly seems fair does it? Just do a veggie burger, a pizza without cheese and one flavour of dairy free ice cream. Not difficult and not expensive! The floor 15 buffet was awful. Limited options, bad labelling, mixed foods. Some days all we could eat were chips! Disgusting! Why is there no milk alternatives at the tea and coffee section? You have to find a member of staff to get alternative milk and put it in your tea. My drinks cold by then. Are p&o so hard up they can’t put a bit of soya milk at the drinks station? Also no alternative milk in the rooms for tea. I had to come down every couple of days and ask for a cup of alternative milk to take back up to my room. Rubbish rubbish rubbish! The only decent food was at the Saffron Restaurant and even that was hit and miss. BEWARE!

This was my 5th time on the ventura As always, all the staff thst I came into contact with were always polite and helpful and had a smile on their face, no matter what time of the day and night. Our luxury balcony cabin had 2 single beds and a pullout double sofa bed. Bathroom had a bath and shower with toiletres included, towels and bath robes. Plenty of clothes storage space 2 TV's but 1 remote control. Complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolates. Only downside fridge was not cold I was told that all fridges are set to room temperature, basically warm. I need cold drinks so I put my drinks in a carrybag and left outside on the balcony. Restaurant The waiters and waitresses were on point , always tucking me in when I sat in my chair. You can order as many dishes as you like, my friend has an eating condition and can only eat meat and ordered 3 steaks which he got. All the food was fresh , well presented and hot. GYM Free use of the gym , they had every gym equipment you could think off, free water ststions , free use of the sauna and steam room and outside hot tubs. Free towels and locker. Had such a fantastic time I have booked to go back on the venture in Novemer and December this year

Did you know that P&O have 3 ships based in Sydney, all of them are London registered, we went to visit family near Sydney for 10 days but instead of flying back to the UK which is grueling we booked the P&O Pacific Adventure going from Sydney to Singapore with 4 ports of call. Airley Beach for the Great Barrier Reef, Darwen, Komodo Island for the Komodo Dragons and the Pink Beach and of course Bali, was a trip of a lifetime and so cheap as we paid in Australian dollars which at the time was 2 dollars for £1 so it cost us £750 pounds each or 15 days for the cruise. A lot of people on the cruise had booked to stay in Singapore for a few days which is so amazing, we would certainly recommend that. We got in touch with The Flight Centre UK our agent was Mitch who did everything for us including the flights and links for the visas no stress, would recommend everybody to take that option if you have the time.
