Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a “luxury cruise” experience. Food and service was sub-par and understaffed. Old dated ship and rooms. Pool area boring and totally closed down after excursions. Excursions poorly executed and staff not knowledgeable. Many of the Mediterranean ports were industrial and ugly with shuttles taking you in and out. Felt like cattle being herded. Don’t waste your money!

I'm surprised to read so many negative comments on the ship. We upgraded to a rear balcony penthouse room and it was great! The room was incredibly spacious with a walk-in closet and even a tub in the bathroom. Our butler was nothing short of amazing. I agree that the food and foodservice staff was a bit mediocre. My biggest complaint is with the excursions. Most of them are poorly organized and planned - the descriptions don't match so do you research and see what others had to say. All of the ports were quite industrial (ugly) so certainly not the scenic type of cruise you think of.

Voyager is an old, tired ship, in immediate need of some major refurbishment. The first 4 nights were terrible. We were at sea and the walls and ceiling partitions constantly creaked and popped, making it impossible to get a decent sleep. After the fourth night, we were given another cabin which was 100% better. The ship was scheduled to arrive for disembarkation in Barcelona on April 16, after a day at sea on the 15th, after leaving Cadiz on the 14th. The ship developed a “technical” problem and returned to Cadiz after only leaving an hour before. The ship ultimately left Cadiz very late the night of the 15th, and arrived a day and a half late in Barcelona. Many passengers, including ourselves, disembarked in Cadiz on the 15th due to scheduled commitments. For this inconvenience, Regent gave each passenger a future cruise credit of $1,000. For the issues related to our original cabin, we received total future cruise credits of $1,500. A very disappointing experience. Regent has 6 ships, of which 3 are very old and only 2 which are new. While the pricing on the older ships might be attractive, a cruise on one of the older ships may not meet your expectations.

A disasterous trip, from start to finish. Voyager broke down at sea. Food was mediocre, staff is extremely junior, tours were poorly organized and executed. No leadership in resolving what turned out to be a 2.5 day delay. This was a D- experience at A+++ prices. Regent has lost its standing as premium brand.

Just read all the reviews already posted about the Voyager sailing from Barcelona To Athens It was horrible. The delay was due to mechanical issues. So Regent not taking care of the ship stole so much from us. They robbed us of 2 ports… we had 5 of our 7 excursions cancelled. Almost every morning the infamous white envelope on the door….”we regret to inform you yet another thing cancelled ….and we appreciate your understanding…” I am not understanding and feel Regent did not even remotely come close to an unrivaled experience that they promised. Sickness from bad food served. The list I sent to the CEO and President took me 3 pages of grievances-completely brushed off by Regent. They were happy to steal our money… and we were on our honeymoon. Terrible!!!
