1. Required covid test. Call carnival, carnival office New orleans, and customer service. No arraignment for suggestions of any kind are made. We spent half a day wandering around downtown New Orleans from Walgreens to CVS etc before finally finding a place 2. Food - one notch above your high school cafeteria. Best options are the Blue iguana for Mexican or guys burger joint. 3. Tours- went on one tour of Montego Bay, jamaica. Drove through downtown at breakneck speed. Barely a slowdown for a photograph. Drove 30 minutes to go to a shopping mall were they directed us to a jerk chicken stand. They collected our money in advance on the bus. We waited 1 hour for six tiny chicken wings. Because we were late we lost our time to shop at the mall. Cuz we were late our stop at Jimmy buffett's Margaritaville was so short that the promised swimming was impossible. 4. The casino -don't get me started. It's our eighth Day and we have not been ahead at any time. 5. Customer service and other myths. Complained nicely about the terrible tour. For my money back. They said I got some value from the day even though it didn't do two of the three things that promised. So they assess my loss at 30% and credited that amount to my account. 6. Customer service. There is none.

Glory is starting to show her age and needs some updates, We did not have any issues with our room, but some of the other guest we meet had problems with air conditioning not cooling their rooms. All the crew and staff we dealt will did an excellent job the whole seven days. We really enjoyed the Comedy shows from all the comedians. Ana Maria the coffee barista on the Promenade deck was a real standout the whole cruise. We enjoyed the food and my wife really like the Tea times they had. Wife also discovered a mixed drink called "Kiss on the Lips" The whole crew makes up for Glory's short comings.

This Christmas we had the best carnival cruise on the Glory we had in twenty cruises. I have been on twenty plus cruises and I can only remember one cruise Director from the Liberty, Stitch was his name. The rest are a blur until this Christmas we met Cuzin Cookie. OMG! He made this cruise the best Carnival cruise ever. Embarkation Can you imagine eating lunch on Friday afternoon the day before you are scheduled to leave on your Christmas vacation and hearing your ship just collided with another ship Well that is exactly what happened to us this Christmas. I immediately called Carnival, they stated Glory will be sailing or they will find us a cruise sailing and make the substitution. Now I teach third grade and really didn’t care where I was going just as long as I WENT! We arrived in New Orleans around ten that morning. We brought the Carnival transport for 23.00 dollars from the airport. Very convenient! We waited about ten minutes for the shuttle. We took the shuttle back for 23.00 for two. Cruising with Carnival as long as we have I was very surprised not to see any passengers leaving the ship. They had not started disembarkation. So that mean the rest of us had to wait. The Terminal Manager suggested we walk over to the Riverwalk Outlet Mall, which happened to be closed. So many of us stuck in the rain waiting for the mall to open or the terminal to open. So we called an Uber and made a morning run to Wal Mart. We asked the Uber driver to wait and paid the extra. The total came to about 15.00. WalMart is basically around the corner from the terminal. When we returned the terminal was open, however we missed our platinum terminal experience. We have been on at least twenty carnival cruises, this is the first time I really enjoyed the Cruise Director. Welcome “Cousin” Cookie. He was the best cruise director we have ever had on Carnival Cruise. We usually just endure the life boat drills, however Cuzin Cooke made us laugh, if we would have hit an iceburg i actually would know what to do because he was so entertaining. Every event that he played a part in was just the best fun ever.

This was our first cruise and it was quite the experience! Driving to New Orleans to the port was very easy. The garage is shut a short walk and there are people that take your luggage right from your vehicle. Tip them!!! You don't wait very long at all to board. A few security areas and you're on. Once we were able to get to our room, we unpacked and was pretty happy that we picked a balcony for our first cruise. I saw an inside room and that would not be an option! Unless you like small and dark. Food options are everywhere! You will not starve! The Blue Iguana was the tastiest! Of course, Guy's Burger is really good! A deli sandwich with the Guy's fries was our go to. The ship was decent size and we got lost a couple of times. There is plenty to do most of the time. The music goes on for quite awhile at night and we could hear it through the floor trying to sleep. I think that all depends on where your room is. I'd get a room in the back of the ship next time. Lee was the cruise director and he made the days at sea a much better experience. He was really fun and we enjoyed him quite a bit!!! Overall, we had a great time and are actually booking another cruise on the Valor for next year. If you have never cruised, I suggest trying it at least once.

This was a great trip with old friends and new friends. There were five star experiences and some experiences that were not so much. We did two snorkel excursions. One was so much the other not so much. The steak house was exceptional. Overall I can't wait to go again.
