We had to make a final payment by Aug. 15....this is why this is being posted now. We are NOT sailing on the Brilliance with RCI because they really dropped the ball on this booking. Two couples booked a cruise out of Tampa for Nov 13, 2021. We received notice on Aug 3, that there were changes, two days after receiving an email reminding us of our final payment due date. The ship was changed from the Brilliance to the Serenade. Georgetown, Caymen Islands was dropped as a port, and Costa Maya Mexico was added instead. Our oceanview cabin was changed to a balcony (not our choice) and the final price due went from about $700/cabin to about $1100/cabin. RCI did give an 800 number to call to cancel...which we did. They really should get agents that speak and understand English. We finally go through to Rita that we did not want to rebook...did not want a FCC....we wanted a refund of our deposit. We have no trust left in RCI due to the way this was handled. They blamed everything on COVID, but they could have honored the price. Four of us now will NOT use RCI for our cruising. It is a shame...the Serenade is a fine ship that we sailed on in 2018 on a Noway itinerary. Bye Bye RCI.

12 days gave u a very good balance between days at sea and days on shore given that you get down at every stop. we sailed back in 2011. we booked some tours from the ship as it was our first time and we were afraid to miss the ship. but we did great on other days when we roamed around on our own or took a tour from shore. Just give yourself more time for going back ( 2 hours to be safe ) and if you arrive near the ship early then hang around near it at a cafe until its time to go back.

Our cruise began with a warning to be careful, ok the virus is everywhere. The staff smiled and showed great concern for our well being. I felt safe and knew the people around me felt the same. The ships crew cleaned constantly and used good safety practices. The crew spoke to us and engaged in friendly conversation it truly put us at ease. Our room was handicap friendly and very large. My 84 year old Mother was very comfortable, the staff took extra time and care with her needs. I enjoyed the entertainment most of all the live shows were exceptional. The menu selection was well designed for all diets.

We have cruised with Disney before and this was the first Royal Caribbean Cruise for us. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary so we decided to try Royal Caribbean. Overall the cruise was good. It’s unfortunate that it was during the Coronavirus scare. However, due to that, the ship was cleaned around the clock. I felt like the crew took it seriously. We had a great room attendant, Greyson, who anticipated our needs and kept the room immaculate. He was wonderful. The food was good and the servers we had in the main dining room, Samvil and Polvin, were awesome! Samvil kept us entertained with magic tricks quoting “Gilly-Gilly” everytime he performed a trick. It was the cutest. The worst thing about the trip was the bed. It was terrible. There was two divots and that was where you had to lay. It felt like the equivalent to a pull out sofa with the bar in the middle. I got very little sleep because of this. Due to no fault of the cruise it happened to be spring break so our ship was also flooded with students from UGA and Auburn. They were loud, drunk and annoying. Again no fault to the cruise but choose your cruise dates accordingly. Over all this is a decent cruise. I would say great but the bed is a deal breaker for me and I won’t be booking with them again. I’ll go back to spending more on Disney Cruise lines because their beds are amazing.

Short 5 night cruise from Tampa, Florida which pleasant because of the weather and friends. The highlight of the ship was the main dining room. The menu was good and all the meals were served hot and with a Smile. David and Angelica were EXCELLENT!! They made every meal a JOY. My biggest complaint was the location of the elevators... Our room at the rear of the ship was a long, long hike to elevator for coffee in the morning. My mistake. Not bad for the Price....
