What travellers are saying
- Edwin OrtizColombia146 contributionsBeautiful place! A must when you visit San Andrés. Nothing like having a Piña Colada while admiring the sea.

It's only 18 nautical miles from San Andrés Island. You can only get there by boat, but it is no longer accessible to tourists due to uncontrolled visits that put a lot of pressure on this fragile ecosystem.
There are three main cays or islands and they a nesting site for a variety of oceanic seabirds as well as turtles. Now a days it is only visited by local fishermen and residents of San Andrés.Written 9 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Coral reefs slightly offshore.Written 3 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NicholePalmerKissimmee, FL111 contributionsBeautiful beach right on the hip strip with lots of dining and shopping options nearby! Th beach is very busy, and you need to get out early if you want to purchase a small cabana but beware, if you buy it for the day and leave, they will sell it to someone else and place you somewhere else when you return. Not sure if it was just a mistake or if this happens all the time just beware to have someone there at all times.Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Harry HJacksonville Beach, FL43 contributionsWade out to this little island in crystal clear water and sugar white sand - takes about 15 minutes and then reward yourself with an ice cold beer, rum drink, or tasty Coco Loco !Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valentina R1 contributionWas a good experience, I traveled to San Andres with my parents and we visited Acuario Cay, is a aquarium in the sea, there are cabins on the sea, to go there is necessary a boat that start the route from the island. In this aquarium there are a lot fishes and stingray, my dad could take in his hands the stingray, and I took a starfish. I have many photos about this day, I like this place because the San Andres sea is beautiful, is clean and see the marine life is really great. I recommend visit all places of the San Andres because is a wonder of Colombia.

- Wade LWrightsville, PA5 contributionsA small botanical garden that concentrates only on plants found on San Andres. So it’s nice to identify the local plants as you tour the island. I was there on a Monday morning, and was the only visitor. The garden is on a hill and there is a higher observation tower at the top. You can see most of the island from the tower, a beautiful view! Some of the paths are unimproved, so beware if you are mobility impaired, but the main walkway is very good. Definitely worth visiting!Written 2 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Victoria OShanghai, China215 contributionsWe received a warm welcome upon arriving and were shown a variety of different areas, including the tamarind tree where the first priest gave lessons and the main church complex. They had some historical items and shared the history of the church which was really interesting. We climbed the church's tower, which involved some steep stairs and the view of the sunset and surrounding island was stunning. It was a short trip (doable in 30 minutes) but a nice interlude from the beaches.Written 9 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MayritaBogota, Colombia32 contributionsIt is a nice stop when you have been around with the golf car, some members of my family thought there were too many seaweed, it was not an issue for me.
Es una buena parada cuando has estado con el carro de golf, algunos miembros de mi familia pensaron que había demasiadas algas, no fue un problema para mí.Written 30 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a wide stretch of white sand, it's not busy and you have several places to get food and drinks from. You can opt for renting sunbeds too, or else placing your towels at no cost on the sand. It's also close to rhe city, under 15min drive.Written 11 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
