Beautiful property. Nice customer service. Free tasting was a plus! We didn't really enjoy the ciders very much because i guess we were expecting it a bit sweeter ( our fault, not theirs) . Though we still ended up buying a bottle and will still come back next time if we are in the area.
    Really enjoyed the visit.

This past weekend I attended a workshop on designing an edible landscape with Ben Caesar, a knowledgeable permaculturist who shared his enthusiasm, resources including tools to our group of a dozen or so folks. He introduced us to a whole new world of perennial possibilities.

The workshop far exceeded my expectations: I appreciated the flow, the variety of activities, the information, the tastings and the potluck. What a terrific day!

Ben holds these workshops several times a year and also hosts garden tours. If you happen to be driving through the lovely Beaver Valley, and want to stop for a few minutes to tour the gardens on this lovely sloping hillside, if you are interested in plants that are not only beneficial and beautiful, but also edible, I'd encourage you to stop in. After the workshop, I stopped in at the nursery, picked up some plants for my own garden , and noticed you could even purchase a "salad sandwich" with some fun new edibles you have probably never heard of for 25 cents! The workshop (4 hours) was only 35$ and if you spend 100$ or more in plants, the workshop is free. Amazing ... and generous!

We play Tomahawk regularly so we thought we would step it up a bit and try Talisman. It was a beautuful day, perfect for golf. The grounds need some TLC. Will cone back.

This is a small roadside park with covered picnic area and views into the Beaver Valley and surrounding cliffs. I found it difficult to get a good vantage near the cliff edge due to fencing and tall trees. The best option was further back near the parking lot using binoculars / zoom lens. Would be nice if there was a platform at the edge in order to give an unobstructed panorama.

This general store has it all. The organic earl grey tea was delicious. They have homemade breads, fresh pies to gift ideas and homemade local greeting cards. You can also pick up other general store items like milk, local cheese and maple syrup. Great place and definitely worth a stop.

This course has a beautiful mountain setting, but the fairways are very bumpy with winter kill. I stopped at the restaurant as the halfway house was not open and ordered a turkey wrap. The outrageous price was $14.75. I will not return because there are several other beautiful courses in the area in excellent condition with reasonable prices and halfway houses.
