What travellers are saying
- Pratheesh JaisonDubai, United Arab Emirates282 contributionsIt was an amazing experience in Lapland that one not to be missed. We were trained with video tutorials and given special shoes, helmets, suits, gloves and many other accessories. The cart car has 13 H/P engine and can speed up to 60km/h. It has a speed and safety monitor and the side of the tracks are made of 2 feet tall tick snow wall. So safety is promised.
The race was between the four of us. The sensors fitted on both sides of the track mark the laps covered and time taken accurately. After 3 or 4 rounds, we got the hang of it. . It was getting dark soon, so first we posed for some photos then move to the race. The first lap was very difficult. But we learned the technique very fast. Drifting through the ice is very tricky and lots of fun. Also a few times we crashed each other and hit on the snow wall.
Its a must-do activity on your arctic circle tripWritten 25 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Selina Z1 contributionWe had a great stay at Tundra Huskies. Even tho the weather was not as good as expected and our tour was shortened (we got the price difference back!), it was an unforgettable experience!
The huskies seemed to have a very good life there and they knew each huskies name and personality.
Totally recommended.Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Welshcake2342 contributionsMy husband and i and our 5 year old son went to winter laser world in December 2019 whilst on holiday in Levi. It was great fun! A lot of attention to detail had been paid to the layout of the battle area with bunkers, trenches, and lots of places to hide. Its location in the forest is also really atmospheric. We played against another family and really enjoyed ourselves. It was very well organised as well. Would definitely recommend to others.Written 31 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ronald DEindhoven, The Netherlands245 contributionsWe were welcomed by our guide Adriaan at the wild nordic office and felt comfortable straight away.
We informed us about the trip, what was going to happen and gave a clear explanation of the do and don't for the snowscooter.
During the ride he kept a close eye on us and informed us for specific cases how to co trol the snowscooter.
We felt very welcome and relaxed during the whole tour (including the visit to the ice gallery) and definitely recommend Wild NordicWritten 8 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - breesworldGoldau, Switzerland63 contributionsI was guiding a group in Lapland and we went for a snowmobile safari with Perhesafarit. I can highly recommend the Kätkä Fell tour! It was a highlight for many of my group members and frankly also for myself. :)Written 15 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Brownleys24Doncaster, UK100 contributions5* Stars all the way for the tour from our family :-)
We was supplied everything we needed for this tour and given a full brief of instruction before we left to find the northern lights! Due to the weather it never happened but that never stopped us having the best time cooking sausage in the middle of the woods and enjoying nature. Our guide Mario was the best :-)))))Written 16 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - C MUnited Kingdom201 contributionsHidden gem of a ski resort. Not the Alps but nevertheless a great place for a short break. Plenty of skiing and not much queuing for the lifts. A great beginners area. A short walk across the road there is plenty of accommodation, bars and restaurants.Written 26 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- K PMarlow, UK104 contributionsWe went on a Northern Lights chase with James, (of GreenTrek) who was filling in as guide for his friends who run Arctic Frontier - the company contracted to take us out. We had a fantastic time... truly memorable just not for the Northern Lights, which showed up spectacularly, but also for the camera equipment and tuition provided, and the hints and tips on how best to capture the northern lights. And best of all, homemade brownies and hot fruit juice to warm us all up after several hours staring up at the sky! This was a great experience and one we'll never forget! Highly recommended!Written 27 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Carmen C2 contributionsWe had a fantastic day snowshoeing in the Pallas National Park. Jukka was a wonderful guide, we would stop every few hundred meters or so to catch our breaths, enjoy the outstanding view and he would explain interesting things. He adapted to our needs and took a small detour so we could rent some winter clothing. Would definitely recommend!!Written 15 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rob DGloucestershire, UK19 contributionsThe team at Kinos were very helpful, organised, with modern well maintained snowmobiles.
My wife was the driver, as my licence away at DVLA as having turned 70! She was initially apprehensive, but the team allayed her initial concerns, & Jill came away with a smile on her face after the mornings safari.
Having been snowmobiling several times before, Kinos are the most professional, safe, & personable company we have come across in the 30+ years we have been enjoying winter holidays. An example to others - keep up the good work guys!Written 10 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - K PMarlow, UK104 contributionsWow! Wow! Wow! We went on a Northern Lights chase with James. And had a fantastic time. OK, the Northern lights showed up and were truly spectacular. What made this experience so special however was our guide James. He provided each person in the group with a Digital SLR camera already setup to catch the northern lights. He then provided us with hints and tips on how to ensure we got the most from our pictures. We managed to take some really spectacular shots. On top of this, James brought along some terrific homemade brownies and juice/tea which just hit the spot after a couple of hours out in the cold. A truly unforgettable experience and one made even more special by James. Highly recommended!Written 23 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Hilary GCardiff, UK81 contributionsWe had an enjoyable experience with Jurrie. Warm outer gear , balaclavas, helmets and boots were provided and a break in a tipi for a hot drink around the fire 2/3 of the way around. Even my 86 year old Mum was secure and comfortable behind the owner/driver. The snow mobiles are very easy to drive and powerful machines. It does not get a 5 star as it would have been good to pause every so often to get some local information about the frozen landscape you were travelling over ? Wear glove warmers the cold really gets to your fingertips. Children/ elderly people can be accommodated in a sledge pulled behind one of the snowmobiles.Written 13 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
