Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We absolutely loved our time at Kidsland. We made some very special family memories which we will never forget while sledging here. It’s a great place! I wish we were there right now.

The Arctic Spa at Foxfires offers a serene and rejuvenating retreat tucked away amidst the tranquil forest just outside Levi. Its setting provides a traditional wood-fired sauna, hot tub, and Kota, complete with open fire and grill if you fancy toasting some marshmallows or sausages.

The 2.5-hour booking window allows ample time to enjoy the experience - maximum relaxation in the wood-fired sauna, unwinding in the hot tub, and enjoying a quiet moment with a post-sauna snack in the cozy Kota. The wood-fired sauna offers a unique sensory experience, with the subtle aroma of burning wood adding an extra layer of relaxation. If you haven’t had the pleasure of a wood fired sauna, it’s hard to describe how different it is to an electric one. The principle is the same - water over hot coals - however there is something special about the gentle aroma of the wood fire that elevates the experience. You also have the option to enhance your sauna session with fragrances that evoke a 'forest bathing' sensation.

After a refreshing cool-down in the snow (an awakening alternative to cool water!), the hot tub provides a comforting contrast to the crisp cold air. We finished our visit to Arctic Spa by wrapping up in robes, and taking a rest in the Kota lulled by the crackling fire.

This intimate boutique sauna experience is especially well-suited for couples, with beautiful, earthy and natural decor enhancing the charm of the sauna and Kota. Surrounded by snow, you are guaranteed a magical escape.

When I came here with my mother and brother in 2014 just before Christmas, we were only there for one day but it was filled with events. You will be able to visit the ice hotel, where everything is made of solid ice, from the beds, the walls and even a bar with shot glasses made of ice, you can even smash them on the ground after downing a shot of vodka. You will meet elves there in large wooden huts, but these aren't the tiny elves with large ears you'd expect, but quite large and normal looking. Since this place is so high up on the planet, and since it was winter, you don't get sunlight for long; it tends to get dark around 4pm. All warm clothes are provided once you are there, but be careful, even just taking off your gloves you will feel the icy chill. There are sleds pulled by reindeer although these are slow, if you want something fast try a husky ride; as you race through the dark woods you will feel the ice cold wind lashing at your cheeks, for me it was the best part of the trip; just enjoy the experience while you can because they only let each family ride once. You can go down ice slides and make huge snow angels, just laying back you are swallowed by the snow, then we met Father Christmas. You are transported to a small hut and once inside you see an old man wearing red, when I met him he spoke with a Russian accent; we had our photos taken but since my brother and I were both in our teens we didn't get any gifts, my mother is still annoyed about that.

We had never been skiing before so decided to have a lesson in the resort. We knew how to snow plough and the basic way to use the equipment needed for skiing. We had a lesson on the first day at 10am and this lasted for 1.5 hours. We stopped half way through to warm up but this didn’t eat into our lesson time, it was added on the end. Sami, our instructor, took care in our lesson and taught us well. We were able to Ski for the rest of the day without instruction and enjoy another day of skiing the following day too!

We had a wonderful time snowshoeing to Santa’s cabin with Annalee! She was a lovely guide, had loads of facts to tell us and brought hot berry juice to drink when we arrived. The views were incredible and we got some amazing photos, the walk was really fun too despite falling over a few times. We would definitely recommend!
