Then only about 5 to 10 minutes to the reindeer farm. I was surprised when we got there as there was only a few reindeer I just thought it was going to be loads of them but turns out there are semi wild and roam free. They have a few to do the rides which was very nice. Afterwards you have a hot drink and a local

It is right next to The UKK Nature Park, so location is excellent for hiking and Winter activities like skiing. - Connector210460381122 contributionsWe read about Arctic Timetravels on the internet and were quite impressed by the reviews. This made us book the Husky Tour with them.
From the time we started interacting with them to get more details we realised that they are very hospitable and go to the uttermost details in making the experience memorable.
We liked the honesty and frankness with which they provided us all the information we sought. As we were traveling in mid-November, they were skeptical of there being enough snow for the tour, however they took extra effort and arranged it all the same.
The program was to go to a meeting point from where they would take us to the location at which the safari would be initiated. However the day before the activity we were promptly informed of the program and made arrangements to pick us up from where we were staying. We were assigned to our tour guide Eugene.
Eugene took uttermost care of us, as it was our first day in that weather of -16 deg Celsius. He had brought overalls to keep us warm for us with sizes they had taken from us at the time of booking.
At the Tour Site, while we waited our turn, a bonfire was arranged to keep us warm. Eugene also offered us to wait in the car with the heater on until our turn was to arrive. While we waited information about the dogs, how they are taken care of was shared in detail
The Husky ride was mind-blowing, while they zipped past along the white snow, the surrounding were beautiful and we were lucky to see the sun rising as we rode.
When the ride ended, we were allowed to interact with the dogs who were very friendly and more than keen to play and interact with us.
After the ride, Eugene went the extra mile to drive us through town as well as to the top of highest ski resort at Saariselka from where we got a breath taking view.

The dogs were rearing to get going when we were getting into sleighs. We had a journey through snow filled forest like narnia scene it was soo amazing. Be prepared for passengers its cold.. bring hand and foot warmers.. great staff who love their dogs and very indept chat afterwards around the fire about them. We had a injured party and unable to do scheduled snowmobile excursion previous evening but staff were very accommodating and thoughtful which we really appreciated. - Pont LimonAntwerp, Belgium7 contributionsIt's really a wonderful place surrounded with forest. We went there two days in the row. On the first day we had the Nortern Lights safari. So me and my girlfriend we got a snowmobile just for two of us and we were following our guide Marko who was riding his snowmobile in front of us. The sky was sealed with clouds en we had no chance to see the aurora borealis, but this trip was amazing! We did about 60 km. and drove through the forest and over the hills in complete darkness and snow falling from the skies, lightning our way with the headlights of our snowmobiles! It's been a real adventure for us. We loved it!
And so the next day we came again for the reindeer safari. Visa , - was the name of our guide. A man with a great sense of humor and an encridible storyteller. After introducing us to his reindeers and them to us, he told us to take our places in a sled and we moved out to the forest. A forest completely covered with snow, so silent and still... And only voice of Visa was time after time breaking the silence... He was singing an old finnish song while leading us along the snowy path in de woods...

We saw the northern lights dance across the sky and it was a wonderful experience. The fire was warming on a freezing night with a hot juice.
