- Connector210460381122 contributionsWe read about Arctic Timetravels on the internet and were quite impressed by the reviews. This made us book the Aurora Hunt with them.
From the time we started interacting with them to get more details we realised that they are very hospitable and go to the uttermost details in making the experience memorable. We liked the honesty and frankness with which they provided us all the information we sought.
We had booked 2 activities with them, the Husky Safari and the Aurora Hunt.
The day before the activity we were promptly informed of the program and were assigned to our tour guide Eugene. Prior to the journey they had checked if the weather and visibility was good and had notified us that if the probability of spotting the lights was less, they would re-schedule the activity.
Eugene along with his colleague Lena arrived at the Holiday Club where we were staying on time. They had arranged for a dedicated vehicle for us and did not waste time to start the journey.
Soon they drove in the direction where they started spotting the lights. We stopped at a location to view the lights. Eugene and Lena did not stop there, immediately thereafter they drove in the direction where we would have a much better view. They drove us to Inari lake which was completely frozen and from there we got a clear view of the lights. The stopped at 2 locations along the lake. The temperature was around -18 deg celsius and we stood there on the frozen lake gazing at the movements of the lights. It was MAGICAL.
Eugene and Lena made the experience even more memorable by they bringing a professional camera to take pictures for us and a hot flask of berry juice which we sipped to keep ourselves warm while we gazed in amazement.
While the lights were the main attraction, the drive with the entire surrounding being white and the spotting of reindeers, was like a fairy tale.
We sincerely thank Eugene and Lena and the Arctic Timetravels for making the tour memorable.
