Absolutely great experience and very well organised. For us it was a long cherished dream come true.
Well equipped with regards to clothing and a nice scenic route. Nice staff.
After the tour they took plenty of time for explanations and meeting puppies. No rush at all.
Only point for improvement is to supply a blanket for people in the sled, they will get cold.

It was a experience of a lifetime. Nice tour with in total 9 people, perfect guide and the lunch in a tipi tent was awesome.

This was a great experience and I can't praise the guide, Yuka aka Yuki aka Snow Courage enough! The tour was great, he cared about safety, and it was like hanging out with a friend. When there aren't lights, they have activities and you enjoy local food cooked over fire. I highly recommend this experience and Yuka and hope to be back soon. Kittos, Yuka!

Jukka is a cool guide. We enjoyed his company. Seeing the amazing Northern Lights was the hit. Hope you see it too.

We went on snowmobile safari tour in Saariselka and had great time it was only two of us and amazing guide Juka. He explained us everything and took us for very fun and nice ride. We shared some intersting storys while eating super good bbq that Juka prepered for us :) Kittos for everyrhing!
Only little complain is for the company because we booked ride for 2pm so that we could enjoy in sunset too but the ride was at the end later during the night.

The experience was fun to dio with our family (youngest 9 years old). The surrounding is beautifull.
Unfortunately one of our kids received equipment which was a bit too big making it harder for her to follow the group in a convenient way.

The guide took us to the husky farm and showed us around. Afterwards we went on a sled and enjoyed the surroundings during the husky tour. We also got to meet and cuddle the dogs, and even got to meet some puppies!

The reindeer are lined up sled to reindeer by rope and you walk about 2 km/hr through the woods. It was quite boring and not what we expected.

It is about 2.0-2.5 hours drive from Ivalo and the car cannot enter to the mine area because is a National park. The car park is about 2.6 km away from the Amethyst mine and takes about another 100 meters by wooden board steps up to the mine. So the whole return journey to the car park is about 5-6km walk on a gentle uphill slope pathway. However, they had devised an interesting quiz along the route having about 10 questions about the national park about every 200 meters there is a question tagged to the tree. If you get all correct you get a prize.

Also note and check that the entry to the mine has scheduled time and is closed on one of the days which l had forgotten. We went on one of the days that was closed and had to make another trip.

It is a small mine and there is no commercial mining activity, it is still done through manual conventional mining of chiselling with spikes and hammer since it is now a national park. The guide will explain about the amethyst and visitors at the end are given a chance to dig amethyst themselves. If you could find one that could be covered by your fingers when you close your palm, then you can take away that piece. Anyway dont expect to get big piece.

There is also a store where they sell their Amethyst but is not cheap for a good one. The Biggest piece of Amethyst that was dug out in this mine is in ARTIKUM museum in Rovaniemi which we went to see also.

Would certainly recommend to visit this site and then head on to put a night in Rovaniemi to visit Santa Village before driving back to Ivalo which takes 3.0-3.5 hours drive the next day.
