Ralf is amazing in terms of a guide, personality and overall guy! I traveled w my boyfriend to meet him at an easy-to-find location. We went a little early and he was already waiting for us.
While we chose scooters, he still asked us if we wanted to stick w our choice or change! Very flexible. We went w our original selection of scooters, gave us an idea of the day and said if we wanted to see anything in particular, he could work it in (said our tour could be 2-3h as advertised or longer, he didn’t care).
He led us in his car around to some gorgeous view points. He also was v knowledgeable about the history of Portugal. We swam to Benagil Caves (swan with our stuff in a waterproof bag so we could keep our sunglasses and phone for photos), relaxed and he didn’t rush us. Also bonus: took sooo many photos and videos of us that will become amazing memories we can look back on!
He mentioned cliff diving and when we were excited about it, he said he knew some spots that he could take us! Being very safe and clear with his instructions, he told us how to climb to the different heights, maneuver the rocks, jump, swim back up etc. He also demonstrated first so we could see how it’s done! :D
At the end of almost 3 hours, he recommended some other areas we could go to and even offered to lend us the scooter to go ourselves (as the timing was weird with restaurants closing before evening and the sunset). We ended up going ourselves in our car but Ralf spared NO hospitality and wouldn’t even accept our tip.
Truly an amazing experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Algarves for the first time. He also rents out Airbnb’s and if I were to return, I would 100% reach out to stay at one of his properties.
