This park is about the Incan culture of Peru. Very clean and pretty, all made of rocks. The local people really enjoy using their parks.

Not very exciting but worth the visit for view of Huancayo valley. Continue on to visit Ingenio trout hatchery and fantastic trout meals.

This square was a large square in the center of Huancayo. It was very picturesque. Many were taking photos with the cathedral in the background. It would be a good place to sit in the park on a summer day.

If you like walking and exploring this is a great place to visit only a short walk from town. Great views, and very few, if any, people.

You can walk there from town but that's a long and steep walk, worth it because of the views!
Stone formations look bizarre and in different shapes and colours.

An eye-opening museum for anyone, particularly for non-Peruvians who, like us, only had a fleeting understanding of the internal conflicts which tore Peru apart in 1980’s through to 2000. Their theme is truth & reconciliation, extremely informative.

This is a lovely park steeped in the culture of the area and centered around the areas amazing gourd art which ,of course, is for sale in the park. No bugging you on the street and you can enjoy the park for free.

Concentrate on the facade. The interior has been redone through the years--spartanly. Not ostentatious, nor colonial, nor hi-quality.

The domes and spires that is. Finally made it there on our last two hours. Worth it. So worth it. With the lights out I didn't get all the pictures I would have wanted but what I got were awesome.
