Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We parked at the reinebringen car park in reine. Marked on Google, easy app to pay and cost us about 115 nok for 4hrs. (You can add time or if you leave early it seems to charge accordingly).
Plenty of parking space, it’s a new one as many people were parking in residents drives which is totally wrong don’t do it!!
Total hike time 3h15 (walk from the car park added 45 mins to this) from the trail head it took us 1hour to get to the top with plenty stops. It’s an ‘easy’ climb as there is stone steps all the way up but it is vertical, there’s no flat bits! We stopped for 20 mins at the top, then another 20 at the first bench on the way down as this was a more sheltered lunch stop.
There is an option to hike up to a 2nd view point but involves a bit of scrambling at a very narrow path point with sheer drops either side and we didn’t fancy it with rain coming in.

From town turn right just after the esso garage. Drive a couple mins to the lake in front of you and park on the left side by the navy blue house.
Trail starts as a gravel path, then after 20 mins take a left through trees up a rocky path. From here follow blue and white markings on rocks.
Came down from the route visible from the top, brings you out behind the fire station (can start here for an easier hike only 40 ish mins to the top but a boring route!)
2h20 total loop. 1h5 to the top.

Steep mountain, peak oftentimes in the clouds. Views of all the islands. It’s 2 parts, first part is up to the lake, this part is steep and you should stick to the right when hiking up so it’s less steep. There’s a track to follow. Second part is just as steep. Coming down is when panic set in as it seems so steep it looks like a drop, I had to sit down. Going up you don’t notice it become so steep. It helped that so many people were doing the hike (maybe 70 people) and two people offered to help when they noticed I struggled so thank you!

In addition to this, it is masterful hike, of course the trail shows that there is wear and tear on nature Expect more time than what is stated in the hiking guide, parts of the trail are relatively steep and require full mobility.Once at the top, the view of beaches and sea is breathtaking. One of Lofoten's best tours

Parking is free but was a little confusing to find as it is not well marked; I used directions found on a hiking website. From there, it was easy to find the trail head. Numerous parts of the trail were very muddy and even had some standing water. Good hiking boots with waterproofing are a must!! The hike is relatively easy compared to some others in the area but still requires some fitness and appropriate outerwear and shoes. The incline was only steep/rocky in a few parts. It took me about 2 hours to reach the top. I brought along some lunch and enjoyed the view from the top. I was hiking alone and only saw one other hiker that day so it was less crowded than some of the other hikes in the area.

Lofoten; one of the World's wonders.
The remaining ridge from the split between The Americas and Europe.
Lofoten's nature, environment and atmosphere is a must for "The bucket list".

Had a great walk .We were lucky that we chose a good day with fine weather we only had summer tshirts ,joggers and cheap trainers on but other people had pro walking gear including walking poles. We are an overweight unfit mother 53 and teenage male and we managed almost to the top. As you get higher the path gets less like a path and more of a experienced climb over huge boulders and rocks. We really enjoyed our time here. Lots of sheep and good to push the boundaries of your comfort zone so good for your mental wellbeing being at one with such beautiful nature

A rather popular hike with the locals and tourists alike.
Apart from a long slippery passage, where they set up chains you can hold on to, the hike in not very technical but rather long : count 3 hours without the stops on your way up, a bit more if you pass through the Munkebu hut. For once in the Lofoten, the path is well marked and you can't get lost !
You'll be rewarded with an incredible succession of lakes of all sizes, shapes and blue hues, and the view from the summit itself is breathtaking (if it's not in the clouds). The summit is rather flat so I guess you could camp up there.
Be minded that the Munkebu mountain hut on the way is not manned, it will only be open if a member of the local mountain climbing club was given the key and happens to be up there. So don't count on it for food, water or even shelter.

I would leave a higher rating if I could. I can’t say enough about this great company. We were in the Lofoten Islands for about 36 hours and had booked a Northern Lights tour but it was raining. They were about to refund our money but we asked very last minute if they could book us something for the next morning before we had to leave that afternoon. They put together a wonderful experience for us for five hours the next day. Our guide, Eric, a photographer among other things, took us to the scenic spots but also on an island tour and shared with us the natural, cultural, political, geological and environmental history. of the area. Every topic we were interested in he was able to converse about. He also went out of his way to help a member of our party who had left something behind. Thank you Lofoten Lights and Eric for being willing to work with us at the last minute. I highly recommend this company. ❤️

We went on the sunset kayak. It was a lovely clear calm evening and it was beautiful. We paddled for about an hour and then had a little break, and the guide had tea/coffee and biscuits for us. He was very informative and knew loads about the area and the history which was really interesting. We then paddled to a really nice spot in the water to watch the sun go down. It was fabulous, would definitely recommend.
