Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked this excursion as we had never been to Yosemite before and really didn’t know what to expect and where to start.
We have a 10 and 6 year old and didn’t want to go off wandering aimlessly and also I read about the parking being very busy so we didn’t want to spend all our time looking for spaces, driving to and from the main spots.

Nate was our guide and he was a walking encyclopaedia on everything Yosemite! We went at our own pace and rested when needed .We done a couple of small walks (1 mile or so) whilst seeing some of the waterfalls and valley floor. We also jumped in and out of a car ,that sat us all comfortably, to see a good few more sights such as El Capitan, half dome, tunnel view etc.
We feel like we done all the major attractions and Nate gave us lots of ideas of where to return and hike too the following day, which we did.
We learnt so much from Nate, all of which my children found very interesting and remembered all the facts much better than I did!

The lunch organised by Echo Tours was fresh and tasty and great value. Also the entire booking process and communication was perfect, we are so very glad we found Echo Tours when we were looking.
We would highly recommend this tour and Nate, many thanks again for a fantastic day.

14 mile hike across mist trail, panorama, glacier point and 4 mile trail. This 10 hour hike provided a 270 degree view of the half dome and Yosemite valley. It was very satisfying to complete it and we have some wonderful memories of the scenery. August was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the area and flora and fauna. He took great care of us and made sure we stayed hydrated and safe.

We walked the Mist Trail to the top of Navarra Falls with our boys aged 14 and 17. The view was stunning and the cool water streams at the top made a perfect lunch break before we decended on the John Muir Trail. The only down side to this walk is that there are quite a lot of people on this trail.

Incredible experience overall. Having Bryant as our tour guide was phenomenal. He’s very passionate about his work, and knowledgeable. He took us to a few different spots were unfortunately we didn’t catch anything, but we had a blast. He made sure there wasn’t a dull moment. Our fishing was cut a little short due to it being almost 100° so he took us to this gorgeous swimming hole where we spent eating our lunch and hanging out until we were exhausted. I’d recommend everyone book a trip with him and Echo Coop. They made us feel very welcomed and will def be visiting very soon. We also stayed in their air bnb which I will leave a separate review for. Thanks again Bryant.

I have been on several hikes throughout the years with yexplore, most recently an international trip to Nepal to hike Everest base camp. I cannot recommend this company enough, the guides are so knowledgeable and every experience has been so fun and memorable! My favorite Yosemite hike with them was half dome, the Mist Trail is incredible!

I have been on several guided fly fishing trips now with Echo Adventures including my first venture into the sport. I have learned alot thanks to the excellent coaching from guides Bryant and Dillon. The entire team is very friendly and knowledgeable. A top notch and very memorable experience every time I have dealt with them and highly recommend them for all of your fishing, hiking as well as all of the other excursions that they have to offer.

As complete beginners to fly fishing we had an amazing day. We fished as a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 12 and 16. Our professional guide was brilliant with the boys. He engaged with them immediatly and inspired them to listen to all his advice to ensure that they caught fish.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, not only about fly fishing but also the Yosemite park ecology and history.
I would highly recommend this adventure and the team at Echo

We did a tour with Kara today and she was fantastic. Her knowledge of both the history of the park and nature was fantastic! We had a great time and learned a ton.

Our main goals this year were Clouds Rest and Half Dome as my wife has never been on top of Clouds Rest and the last time we were on Half Dome we had to rush back down the valley. We had a private tour with Lasting Adventures that ended up attached to a standard tour only because of Half Dome permit restrictions. This worked out very nicely as we had 2 guides for 4 hikers. The first day was the standard stuff in Yosemite Valley camping at the back-packers camp. The second morning we started our hike at Tuolumne Meadows and went 4 miles to Cathedral Lakes (Lower Cathedral Lake). This was a good warm-up. I was surprised at how nice and serene the views were. The only downside was the mosquitos that were relentless. The 3rd day we hiked 7-8 miles to Sunrise Lakes. We saw sights (peaks, meadows, valleys, lakes, etc.) that most people won't see by staying in the valley. The 4th day, we hiked up Clouds Rest and stayed there for lunch. What a view - perhaps my favorite view of the valley. The first mile or so down from Clouds Rest was a little hard on the knees but it got better. That day, we travelled 8 miles in total to a camp about a half mile from the Half Dome trail. The final day was fantastic - we got up at 3am and were on top of Half Dome right at sunrise. We had breakfast, enjoyed the sunrise, and took in the 360 degree views for almost 2 hours. The rest was all down hill to get our backpacks and head down to the valley. Total mileage this day was 12 miles - a long day for us. Emily and Dawson, our guides from Lasting Adventures, were wonderful. I highly recommend using Lasting Adventures for these Yosemite hikes - they take all the worry away. This was our 3rd trip with them and obviously we are very happy to recommend them.

    Amazing Experience!

This was my first time visiting Yosemite and I am so glad I chose to go with Lasting Adventures. The trip was incredibly well planned out, we were taken to some incredible places, looked after (and fed!) very well. Our campsites were beautiful and very remote. Can't recommend this experience more!

I bought a surprise trip for my husband Father’s Day/birthday present. I messaged Echo directly through Facebook and they responded back to me in a timely manner. I got the whole trip setup very easily. Elisabeth made sure to keep it a surprise and was beyond helpful. She let me know what he needed to bring prior to the trip. They took care of all the permits. We dropped him off at their basecamp and Bryant took him for a solo trip to the Merced. It was beyond what he expected and had an amazing time. My husband fished independently for a couple of years with no luck. Bryant showed him how to fly fish on one trip and my husband caught a couple of fish. He said Bryant was a great teacher. Our parents also surprised him with gift certificates to their store so he could keep practicing. We look forward to going on a family trip with Echo soon. We highly recommend them. You’d be foolish not go!

Our guide was excellent! He shared with us his true love of the area and helped us appreciate the unique beauty that is Yosemite. We did the Beginner Snowshoe. It lasted 4 hours and was physically challenging but well worth it. Such a unique way to see a remote part of the park. Especially gorgeous in winter!
