Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These waters cascade more than 600 feet down a sheer rock surface. They are very high up, and the wind currents there blow the falling waters into a fine mist. The Native Americans called this the “Spirit of the Puffing Wind”.

When the sun shines down on the water at the right angle, people can even see a rainbow. We saw a very light one, and even that was very eerily beautiful.

This Waterfall is distinguished from other Falls by the formation of the rocks that looks like a dolphin’s Head bobbing up and looking towards the sky.

The people park right along the road side, just to make a quick stop to click a few photos. We also did that, and then hurried ahead knowing that better sites were coming up inside the park.

    Worth a look, for sure.

I have visited the History Center in Wawona many times. This time I spent most of my visit in the new Chinese Laundry Building that is across from the gray barn. It was fascinating to learn about the contributions from this group in the development of Yosemite NP. I enjoyed the signs, information, and photos.

One of the most beautiful places on our earth! It looks like a postcard. There is a view of the waterfall in front of your with its picture relected in the calm clear river water flowing beneath you. There are trees on both sides and fields, serene green fields. You can stand on the bridge and feel one with nature or sit at either side of the river and enjoy. the tranquility. There are picnic tables on one of the sides of the river, a small parking area, and a bathroom. It is about a ten-minute walk from the Yosemite Valley Lodge.

For those who use REI or All Trails, and can find this trail, it really does provide the best view of the valley. Beware Inspiration Point is a harder hike with lousy view. Artist Point is a 1.25 mile hike one way with fabulous view. We enjoyed hiking from the pull-off just up the road from Bridal veil falls better than hiking from the parking lot at tunnel view.

And another stunning spot at dusk. Best viewed travelling West to East in my opinion. I have travelled both directions and I definitely prefer W2E.

My aunt, cousin & I had the pleasure of being guiding by Jesse during our Journey Through the Rushing Canyon along the Tuolumne River. The trip was extremely beautiful. The area is called “The Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne River” and it’s stunning. We spent our days and nights hiking and camping along the gorgeous river and next to the canyon walls. It was so incredible! The pools and falls we saw and played in were crystal clear and so refreshing! It felt so good to end the day of hiking in the early afternoon and then cool off and clean up in the water.
Jesse is an experienced guide and he took care of all of the details for us, which was especially nice since it was my first backpacking trip. Jesse has a presence that really puts you at ease. He’s got every detail covered, his enthusiasm and passion for the area shine, but he was also calm, relaxed, and really “go with the flow” through the whole trip. I really appreciated that about him. And his cooking was so good, I was impressed! I was super satisfied by the food, especially because my cousin is vegan so we ate quite a few vegan meals and they were really tasty! My favorites were the pad Thai and the polenta with artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes. Yum!
I couldn’t recommend Jesse and The Lamplighters Adventuring Society more. 10/10! Thank you, Jesse!

Lets start with the reason that I didn't give the park 5 stars. The National Park Service have recently introduced a reseravtion system. In short you can not enter the park between 06.00 and 16.00 unless you have made a reservation. Came all the way from the UK with a travel itinerary to visit the park only to find we could not enter between these times and that it was fully booked for our entire stay.
Only way around this was to get up extremely early and enter the park before 06.00 which we did. (We were staying in Fresno and left at 04.00 - the drive to the park gates, and Mariposa Grove, takes approx 75 minutes but to get to the valley takes 2 hours - as long as you are through the gates before 06.00 you are OK without a reservation)
Putting aside this potentially holiday destroying bureaucracy the natural wonders of the park themselves are simply breathtaking. Dont miss Mariposa Grove either - the trails around the Giant Redwoods are simply fantastic.
