- SweetCincyCincinnati, Ohio278 contributionson our drive thru Atlanta, my mate says, lets go to President Carter Museum.....WOW, what a great stop we did....we actually stayed almost 3 hours. There were so many displays.....all so well done....whom ever planned this museum...A+++++++.........We slowly went thru each area, and things were so well explained....I loved that President Carter voice actually was talking about certain events in his life....so interesting. we really got to know our past President Carter & Rosalynn so much better.....What moral, beautiful, kind, strong couple these two are....Definitely a power couple.....and whom have compassion....We totally enjoyed this stop on our journey home to cincinnati, and were still talking about how much we enjoyed that visit.....if your passing thru, live near by.....you must take a day and visit this absolutely Well done Presidential Museum.....its truly not to be missed.....Thank you President Carter & Rosalynn for your compassion & love of our great country and your continued efforts to help people here and elsewhere.....God Bless you both!!!! :) :)Written 30 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The climate control system is good so you stay comfortable. It was quite busy when we went on a Friday afternoon in September 2021. There is not much seating area; it was essentially one large open area with a combination of bar tables, dining tables, and ‘soft’ faux leather lounger chairs. There wasn’t really a separate / quiet area for work. The food was decent, and it included chicken gumbo soup, salad, hummus and pita, and chocolate cake, that day. Food was served by lounge staff, following COVID-19 protocols from what I could see. Finding parking was a nightmare: The lot recommended on the website was full. We were headed back to the motel when we saw a sign for another, which had a few spaces left. Spaces are so scarce that you understand why they're expensive ($12 a day).
When we finally got to the library, though, everything was swell. The staff were friendly and helpful, we signed in with a photo ID, had a good cup of Pete's coffee in a pleasant coffee shop, talked to a knowledgable and helpful reference librarian, found what we were after, and spent a good afternoon.Written 17 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Stood in line for 35 minutes just to get to the guy checking IDs, then had to go to another line to have them scan my ticket and get a second wristband, back to another line for “security” and then finally into the venue. I purchased transportation for my mother from the airport to my home. Her flight was 20 mins late- something she can’t control. The driver was rushing her to get through Atlanta’s airport because he had another job. I called dispatch to see if he needed to send another driver due to the flight being late (something she can’t control). The dispatcher proceeded to be rude, loud and argumentative. He told me that she needs to hurry. Well needless to say, that did not go over well. I explained to him in a not so nice way that he’s getting paid to provide a service and he will do it respectfully.
