Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I could have spent 2 days here. The museum is extremely well organized and filled with history - fascinating. The 4D show is tremendous. Don't miss it!

Breathtaking! We must have walked around for hours. It was a beautiful day, the breeze off the Mighty Mississippi was so refreshing. Don’t miss it!

Just returned from one of many, many trips to NOLA - but first encounter with Frenchmen Street. Dat Dog (our reason for going there), Frenchmen Art & Books shop, music floating everywhere and - wow! - Street Poets! Great concept. Lucy Lloyd enchanted passersby with her vintage Royal portable typewriter fitted with red ribbon and typed a lovely spontaneous personal verse sparked by our brief conversation on a 4x6 notecard .

If you want to see New Orleans, eat, listen to music galore, you have to go to the French Quarter. It’s got lots to see and the the trolley is not a far walk, around 15 min.

Took the green trolley through the garden district. It took about two hours there and back. $3 pp. worth the trip as you get to see the homes and not worry about the drivers

The best way to travel. The drivers are so nice and knowledgeable, if we weren’t walking we were using the streetcars!

This gorgeous cathedral is in the central hub of New Orleans, right by Jackson Square, and is worth a visit for the breathtaking architecture alone. However, it's also an active place of worship and is a serene place to pause and reflect despite the constant stream of people. I loved the contradictions between a bustling, social city like New Orleans and the peaceful atmosphere within the cathedral. We were sincerely welcomed when we stepped inside and were allowed to stay for as long as we wanted. We paused to inhale a few moments of calm.

It’s the end of the line for the red trolley, so take it to the end and when you get off, you are at the city park, café, Dumond, art museum, and sculpture park. You can spend the whole day here, plan for several hours!

We purchased two levels of tickets; one for $50 that got us front row and one for $40 that got us second row. The gentleman who seated us was very accommodating and put us in seats next to each other. Definitely recommend getting tickets in advance as the standing room only filled very quickly after the prepurchases were seated. If you are expecting a traditional venue experience, this may not be for you. There are no microphones or sound equipment; it is all acoustic which really adds to the authenticity of the experience. We especially appreciated that it is a cell phone free zone meaning no video or photos during the performance. Be mindful that the seats are vintage benches with no backs and you are sitting in very close quarters. The performance lasted about an hour with the sextet performing about a half dozen songs. It is a very intimate, authentic, almost church-like setting . It was the end to a very memorable evening, and we will definitely go again when we are in NOLA!

Drove through this area and took some beautiful pictures. I know you can walk around but we found it easier to drive.

The tour was spectacular. Not only is the cemetery fascinating in and of itself, but Zelda, our tour guide, was filled with stories. Now - I'm sure some of the stories are told by other guides. However, it's all in the delivery. She was HYSTERICAL. So don't miss this tour and ask for ZELDA. You won't be sorry!!

A must!! Free shuttle from Marriott on canal street. Can get discount through groupon. I personally would not walk there. You would be muddling your way through a freight yard train yard, etc..

This is a beautifully laid out garden with sculptures of varied types and styles. It is also next to the botanical gardens which makes for a lovely excursion.

Make sure to spend lots of time in the Audobon Zoo. Lovely animals, and they all ast for you! There is a white alligator, and a trolly if you get tired of walking. Take the boat from the Aquarium dock, then ride back on the St Charles Streetcar.
