Chelsea was a superb guide. The kayaking was easy, the swamp info was fascinating, and the equipment was fine. Having life jackets with zipper phone pockets was a nice touch.

Capt Ed gave us excellent door to door service from French Quarter area to his marina . We enjoyed a beautiful day, end of January, and successfully caught sheepshead, redfish, and black drum! He is easy going and gets you to where the fish are! He also asked if we wanted to eat some of our catch (as we flew out the next day, we weren’t keeping them). We made a reservation in advance at the Red Fish Grill, and he took care of all the other details! We had an AWESOME fishing experience, and then an AWESOME dinner! The chef came to our table multiple times and all in all, couldn’t have asked for a better day!

    Thanks!!!!

Rory took us to multiple spots. Caught redfish, sea trout, sheep’s head, and black drum. It was a great day out. And it ended with me catching a 38” monster red… what a blast. We returned all fish except a couple trout. Such fun!

This tour was an absolute 10 out of 10. I highly recommend booking the small boat because you'll get a more up close experience. My 22 year old daughter and I had a boat that seated 9 with three groups total. Dalton was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, and you could tell he really loved his job. He even gave alligator 'Rachel' a marshmallow and kissed her on the nose...right in front of us. It was amazing. He even stopped to help a fellow captain with his engine issue, such a great guy. Made us all feel comfortable and safe. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this part of our trip. For anyone looking for some swampy fun, this tour is a must! p.s. you don't get wet. If you're lucky, you might get pin size mud balls pelted at you from zooming through the swamp.

The entire fishing trip was amazing. Captain Bob and first mate Cindy are super friendly and knowledgeable. They said it was a tough day of fishing, however we limited out on redfish. Plus caught some freshwater catfish and speckled trout. The boat ride was great, captain Bob definitely knows how to navigate threw all the crab pots. Highly recommend this charter boat. I took my son with me and can tell you they are great with kids. Thanks for the wonderful day on the water!

Fantastic day on the water with Captain Eric. It was cold! We still had the best time. The geography is beautiful. Great conversation. And we caught fish. Eric Ali arranged transportation for us. Unique experience for our family.

I have been fishing with several Captains and I can clearly say that Captain Patrick is the best I have ever fished with. I can't say enough good things about the trip. It was my first time fishing from a kayak, but I do have experience fishing for Redfish. Captain Patrick struck a perfect balance in helping me with my limited Kayaking skills, but also giving me the freedom to fish without feeling micromanaged. It is a hard balance to strike for a captain to be helpful, but not overbearing and Captain Patrick struck it perfectly. He was extremely helpful in setting up and putting the kayak in the water, operating it, and taking it out which allowed it to be fun and manageable even for a kayaking novice. He knew the perfect presentation, as we fished with a spoon he hand painted which mimics crabs that the Redfish in the area eat. This was confirmed during the cleaning process where he showed me a crab from one fish's stomach which matched his lure quite well. For this type of fishing for Redfish, which, is largely oriented by sight, lower water levels and clarity are key to having easy widespread success. The water wasn't overly clear and the levels were pretty high which makes it much harder to find the fish. Despite these challenges, Captain Patrick managed to put me on some beautiful eater sized redfish. Anyone can catch fish in ideal conditions, but it takes something special to be successful when it's tough. If you are looking for a personalized fishing experience with a Captain who will pay attention to your personal fishing and kayaking needs, put you on fish, all while being super friendly for an affordable price, then look no further!

Had a great day fishing, my mom and dad (I’m their 70’s), wife and 2 sons (18 and 11). Capt. Jacques did us right. Highly recommend. He kept us moving, found a ton of red fish, trout, drum and a delectable flounder. He’s great at making sure you’ve got all you need and the day sets up great.

I always try to go to a fly shop whenever I travel. These guys are great. They showed me what the tie and what they us win local waters and pointed out some great things to add to my fly collection.

Today we had an absolutely fantastic time with Captain Tyler. He was extraordinarily kind and patient and gave my brother, mother, and I tips on bait to setting the hook and everything in-between! He was extremely thorough, professional, and well prepared - all we had to do was show up and fish! Furthermore, while other groups who departed from the same location we did came back relatively empty handed, we each arrived with our daily limit!

I could not have been happier with our time spent with Captain Tyler and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a premier inshore fishing service to look him up. I will most definitely be back!

This was the 4th time that I have done charter fishing in the New Orleans area. The other 3 times were with the same outfit in the Lafitte area, great service but the results at the end of the day were not stellar. Looked for something in a different direction from New Orleans and came upon Captain Drake. Great communication and I set up a morning a few months in advance. He did check with me about a week before the charter and gave me the meeting time the evening before.

When we arrived at 5:45 as planned Capitan Drake was ready to go. He thanked us for wearing warm clothes as he asked and off we went, we did need all those clothes but once we started fishing they started coming off. We were not having much luck at first as it was a little different technique then what my wife and I were used to. Once he switched us over to live shrimp we were getting plenty of action. I think my second or third fish ended up being a 17 lb redfish. We ended up fishing 4 or 5 different spots with the last one being the best. It is his secret spot that we caught trout, a 10.6 lb sheepshead and a 26 lb redfish. I was asked not to show the picture of the big red as the background gives away his spot.

At the end of the day, which I ended about an hour early, we had a boatload of fish. Funny thing is Captain Drake was actually disappointed in the amount of speckled trout we caught. We ended up with 27 keepers plus 6 blue cats, 4 redfish (not counting the 2 big ones we released), 1 huge sheepshead, 1 black drum, 1 largemouth bass, a string ray and a blue crab. I kept teasing him about where’s my flounder as that was the only thing that we did not catch. One of the most enjoyable charter fishing trips that I ever went on and I have gone on a bunch. All the fish were kept in cold icy water to keep them fresh. We took a trout and black drum to Oceana in the French Quarter for an excellent late lunch. You will not be sorry fishing with Captain Drake he is also a great guy to hang with for the day and took excellent care of my wife. He is very popular so book your trip well in advance.

Ramon was an excellent host and took us on several short tours in between heading to different fishing areas. We were able to see places in New Orleans that can only be seen on water. And it was amazing to see how many people actually live in these places that have to be accessed by water.

Fishing was an experience of its own. First couple of spots we didn't get many bites at all but Ramon was persistent and finally got us to a location that was a gold mine. I highly recommend this Charter mainly because of the level of hospitality that they bring to the table. After about 20 minutes i forgot this was a charter and believed i was on a fishing trip with a lifelong friend. Thanks again Clearvision!
