Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The NOLA swamp tour took on a whole new dimension in a kayak. Fabulous guide and there was no pressure to keep up. Relaxing and beautiful!

Went during early Feb (Winter) so didn’t see much wildlife but Terry still made sure we had an experience! Will be back in spring!

What a wonderful bayou kayak tour. Colin was knowledgeable about the history and ecology of the bayou and we felt safe and cared for! Highly recommended!

Our extended family were guided by Matt on a wonderful trip through the bayou. His knowledge of the flora and fauna was extensive. Although it was late in the year, we saw birds (including a bird rare to Louisiana), reptiles and mammals. The bayou was beautiful and peaceful. At the end we had a delicious lunch at Nan’s and topped it off with ice cream. Seniors, kids, and in-betweens all considered this the highlight of our fantastic trip to NoLa.

Last minute opening brought me here. A friend had posted pictures and I thought that if they could do it, I could. Sixty foot climb to the first platform, and it was too much fun to go to the second. Going to the third was good. My fear almost claimed me, but I did it!

First time riding a jet ski...was so much fun. Jeremy explained everything and was very helpful, very courteous. Will definitely do this again. Only thing with the ski we had...it was well used, and needed cosmetic repairs. This did not detract from the fun though. Would recommend NOLA Flyboarding to everyone!!!!

The “African Life in the French Quarter” tour by Hidden History Tours was completely awesome, absolutely enriching and a must do if you’re in the Crescent City.

The two hour walking tour lead by Mr. Leon Waters opened my eyes in new ways to a city that we have visited several times. I believe this tour is foundational to not only understanding the history of Africans In Louisiana and America but key to informing how we experience American law, commerce and culture to this day.

Our guide Mr Leon was prepared, engaged and passionate about ensuring that we understood the city’s history and the context of how things came together. Be prepared to see and understand the impact of Moorish Architecture, the role of religion along with the Catholic Church, the economy and politics of New Orleans past.

    Great tour!!

Bayou Paddlesports provides a whole different way to see NOLA. We paddled through the urban bayou, getting a close up view of backyards and greenery. Such a delight!

I have been fishing with several Captains and I can clearly say that Captain Patrick is the best I have ever fished with. I can't say enough good things about the trip. It was my first time fishing from a kayak, but I do have experience fishing for Redfish. Captain Patrick struck a perfect balance in helping me with my limited Kayaking skills, but also giving me the freedom to fish without feeling micromanaged. It is a hard balance to strike for a captain to be helpful, but not overbearing and Captain Patrick struck it perfectly. He was extremely helpful in setting up and putting the kayak in the water, operating it, and taking it out which allowed it to be fun and manageable even for a kayaking novice. He knew the perfect presentation, as we fished with a spoon he hand painted which mimics crabs that the Redfish in the area eat. This was confirmed during the cleaning process where he showed me a crab from one fish's stomach which matched his lure quite well. For this type of fishing for Redfish, which, is largely oriented by sight, lower water levels and clarity are key to having easy widespread success. The water wasn't overly clear and the levels were pretty high which makes it much harder to find the fish. Despite these challenges, Captain Patrick managed to put me on some beautiful eater sized redfish. Anyone can catch fish in ideal conditions, but it takes something special to be successful when it's tough. If you are looking for a personalized fishing experience with a Captain who will pay attention to your personal fishing and kayaking needs, put you on fish, all while being super friendly for an affordable price, then look no further!

Jessie brought me and my friend on a great tour of Bayou St John. He gave a thorough tour both on a historical and environmental aspect. Exploring the bayou was great. His speeches were very enjoyable and questions well received. That's the kind of things you want to do if you want to get out of the beaten path in Nola !
    Highly recommend it.

We had such a awesome time with Gurdy our tour guide! He had a lot of very interesting information to share about the swamp land, the history of the area, and the ongoing conservation effort to save threatened wildlife areas like the southern Louisiana swamp land. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time Kayaking. It wasn’t too challenging to handle definitely beginner/intermediate with beautiful sights. Thank you Gurdy for a wonderful day!
