They should have room information cards made in various languages ( Spanish, French, German etc) as French speaking visitors couldn’t communicate with the tour guide who has to rely on Google translate. Loved learning about the history of New Orleans and how 80% of the city burned down and this museum was saved. So it's a great way to see one of the oldest buildings in the area. The highlight is the grotto to the side of the church that has a statue of St. Bernadette and votive candles to burn, then you go into the gift shop that has many things to buy. Of course, we had read the stories of Delphine Lalaurie so we didn't need a tour. The house was under renovation when I visited, and dimly lit, which was spooky and cool. - dendres7 contributionsHad seen on the internet that this was an interesting site, especially the Shrine to St. Roch. The shrine, however, was closed when we visited. Seems it needs some repairs until it can be reopened.
