Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    Fascinating tour and gorgeous house.
They should have room information cards made in various languages ( Spanish, French, German etc) as French speaking visitors couldn’t communicate with the tour guide who has to rely on Google translate. Or have audio guides made up for in foreign languages.

This place is a hidden gem. Bob gave us an excellent guided tour and I would urge anyone visiting New Orleans to pay a visit. Fascinating family history and very atmospheric house.

We so much enjoyed seeing this historic home..we wished the tour guide was not there so we could just have viewed the property without her lengthy lectures

I've been on tons of house tours and Danielle was hands down the best guide I've ever had, so informative and passionate, I would have hired her personally to show me all of New Orleans

This museum houses a nice collection of jazz history. Great artifacts, small gift shop on the first floor and exhibits on the second floor.

A really nice museum. Beautiful gardens, statues, and stained glass. Loved learning about the history of New Orleans and how 80% of the city burned down and this museum was saved. So it's a great way to see one of the oldest buildings in the area. Only open for a few hours and tours are on the hour so make sure you plan ahead.

We were expecting a very lovely breakfast, but were disappointed. Breakfast okay. Coffee terrible. Tour was good with very knowledgeable tour guide.

So majestic and beautiful. Pews are authentic and well kept. The highlight is the grotto to the side of the church that has a statue of St. Bernadette and votive candles to burn, then you go into the gift shop that has many things to buy. My "must stop" whenever I am in NOLA

We were on a ghost tour and they never came by this place so we had to see it for ourselves. Of course, we had read the stories of Delphine Lalaurie so we didn't need a tour. I liked how they dressed up the old place for Halloween because there'd be not much to see, otherwise.

What a lucky coincidence to pass this little theatre wandering around the French Quarter. Box office however never open so you must book online. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opened on our last night of holidays ..... just brilliant .... hearing it in vernacular ...wow

Walking distance from Commander's Palace. The whole neighborhood is beautiful and well worth the stroll. The house was under renovation when I visited, and dimly lit, which was spooky and cool. Just be respectful as it's privately owned!

This is an extraordinary experience. Superbly presented to a group of NO tour guides. I highly recommend Pitot House. Jamie was indeed an excellent docent--knowing the history, art and personalities which make this place special.

Had seen on the internet that this was an interesting site, especially the Shrine to St. Roch. The shrine, however, was closed when we visited. Seems it needs some repairs until it can be reopened. Otherwise, it was a good opportunity to view a cemetery with some interesting masoleum inscriptions and sculpture.

The Elms Mansion is a beautiful old building in Saint Charles street. The Street car runs right past it. Really nice and worth a look.
