Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful Park. Many things to do in the area. There were shops, food option. There are nice views of the river.

Energetic and fun with great shopping and dining. Some of the top rated restaurants are here (Arnaud's, Galatoire's, Tableau, Brennans ,etc.) with tasty chicory coffee at Cafe du Monde. There are many little fun shops to explore. The beautiful antique shops are impeccably curated with noteworthy pieces. Frenetic, good energy abounds as you bustle through this vibrant part of town. (I recommend Royal and Decatur streets for great shopping and more civility (our cup of tea) and Bourbon Street for hard, HARD partying.) Enjoy y'all!

Wow! A true New Orleans experience, the jazz musicians were so talented and the venue is very unique! Spend the money for a front row seat!

Old part of NOLA. Long street with pay to park is a must. Walk one hour and walk one hour back. Locals go here. Unique shops.

Super chill place right on Bourbon that is a break from the blaring pop music. Listen to a live band in a slower environment, shop, eat, and drink.

So there’s tons of reviews to skip this area or even warn of its dangers.
I went in the day time and only walked a few blocks in this neighborhood at night, so I can’t speak to the latter much.

There are a lot of cool shops, particularly for voodoo, spooky things, souvenirs, etc.
Plenty of bars and food - lively atmosphere for parties or those looking for a rowdier time.
Some well known attractions in the area like the Museum of Death.

This place does smell.. like urine. And I did come across one scammer asking about my shoes but you can easily ignore them. Bring walking shoes though.
    Colorful neighborhood overall.

We decided to volunteer while on vacation and this was an amazing experience. The work they put in for this rescue is amazing. We had a group of 4 and all of us would definitely do it again.

Super easy you can email them and set up a Saturday to volunteer. They only want 1 week in advance and then you rsvp and get all the information. It’s so worth it. We also got free tshirts!

I will say do not Google or map the way by searching the title. Make sure you use the address given in your rsvp email. Us and another group went to the old location. Oops!

Was downtown walking and looking down the street I saw beautifully decorated balconies. It was refreshing to see such a clean street after walking bourbon.

We enjoyed visiting around the outside areas of Tulane after being at Audubon Park. We also visited the football and baseball stadiums.

This park is nice for a short stroll. It’s well kept, pretty trees, right in the heart of the downtown area. Worth a stop. Great place to enjoy a coffee

Appropriately situated on Decatur Street in a little square near to the French Market, the statue of Joan of Arc was a gift from the people of France. This magnificent statue is well worth seeking out, especially on a sunny day because then, it really gleams.

Tonight was a very enjoyable entertaining and fun show with Ms. Skinner singing and acting a selection if Broadway show music.

We need to come to more shows here than we seem to be able to get down to New Orleans
