We booked this tour in the afternoon after a 3 hour van tour of the greater New Orleans area. We wanted a more up and close tour of the French Quarter We wanted to taste the food and figured having someone give us the history behind the foods; ingredients, culture, variations etc. would give us a deeper understanding of New Orleans food. We were not disappointed! Our guide, Kim, was outstanding. With 30 plus years of food experience, 20 of which was in New Orleans, and having worked for some of the great culinary names in New Orleans, Kim was able to give us the history and stories behind the mystique. We sampled Po-boys, Jambalaya, Pralines, Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice all in about 2.5 hours while enjoying a cocktail along the way. It was well worth the money, thank you Kim...
