Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- piamater3Loganville, GA2 contributionsWe did the couples massage and it was AWESOME! The staff were friendly and so accommodating. The ambiance was so zen and NOLA. Our masseuses were excellent and got everything just right for us. I will definitely be coming back to Spa Atlantis!Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephanie SSeattle, WA2 contributionsI was in town from Seattle with my daughter and we wee given a massage for a gift so I chose this place after reading reviews myself. I have to say I wasn't expecting it to be as wonderful as an experience.
I had Ahmad and I have had many massages being that I am a hairstylist and hold tons of tension In my upper body. This is TOP NOTCH massage. He seemed to know every spot and pressure to apply without me saying a word. Too bad he isn't in Seattle. HIGHLY recommend!!!Written 3 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Today I was hurting so badly (I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain from autoimmune disorders) and booked with a therapist I’ve never seen before, Betsy. I knew it would be a good massage because there are literally no bad therapists at this spa, but I really didn’t know how amazing this would be. Betsy transcended all expectations. I am almost never pain free. I was as pain free as possible after this massage and still am as I write this review. She has an excellent deep muscle technique and intuitive hands that find the painful areas without even having to tell her. She is also very nice and did better assisted stretches than my physical therapist is capable of. I did not want to get up from her table. Do not hesitate. Book this spa and ask for Betsy, especially if you deal with chronic pain that affects the neck, back and shoulders! It really was THAT good.Written 25 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Justin ONew Orleans, LA1 contributionValentine’s Day Massage Perfection! From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm smile and offering of a refreshment. The massage room was warm and tranquil. The music and smells of the room were very relaxing. Ronald and Kim were the perfect pair for our massages. Very attentive to our needs and hit all those knots and aching joints. I will definitely be back and would recommend to all of my friends and family!Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stephen GBerwick upon Tweed, UK4 contributionsWe were lucky enough to experience a couples massage during a recent visit to New Orleans. The experience was magical from start to finish. The staff could not be commended enough, and the experience is one of the reasons that we plan to return to New Orleans one day.Written 28 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - iamcrazytravelPerdido Key, Florida, USA10 contributionsWent for the 50 minute massage, mani/pedi special- added 30 minutes to massage- so glad we did. Jay and Julie were both amazing! Next day went back for a facial with Isabella, also added 30 minute massage! Facial was more like a face massage but it was amazing! Also had haircuts with Hoa! She did a great job! We can't wait to come back and do it all again!Written 8 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- nicolelrockNew Orleans, LA3 contributionsI loved The Sweat Social's Running Tour through the French Quarter. The tour guide was so knowledgable and made learning fun. The group size was perfect - small enough to feel intimate but enough people to make a few new friends along the way!Written 5 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The_Loup_GarouPhoenix, AZ166,281 contributionsIn March, while staying at the Roosevelt Hotel, we had the opportunity to do “spa day” at the Waldorf Astoria Spa, in the hotel.
While we have been in more luxurious spas, the Waldorf Astoria Spa was still very nice, and our treatments very good. We did a couple’s massage, followed by a manicure and pedicure for both of us. The massage therapists were excellent, and the nail technicians very good.
It was not pool weather, so other than a brief walk, we really did not use that facility, and there was some construction going on, out on the pool deck. It might have been for an event, as workmen were installing what appeared to be a large red carpet, it looked to be more of a linear runner, than carpeting for that portion of the pool deck.
The facilities were all clean, and tranquil, but just not to the high level of finish, to which we have been accustomed. All staff was very helpful and friendly.
I think that had it been later in the year, with nicer weather, the pool area would have been more welcoming, and usable.Written 9 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When my husband informed the massage therapist this was his first time, she advised him that he was in for a treat. - J EFredericksburg, VA8,949 contributionsWhile staying at the Ritz-Carlton, I opted for a 50 minute hot stone massage. From the moment I checked in, until I left, service and atmosphere was excellent and relaxing! They have separate men’s and women’s quiet/relaxation areas and locker rooms, which were very clean and well-stocked. They have dry sauna and steam rooms on both sides as well and their shower areas were roomy and had towels that were more plush than the room towels!
My massage was with Neka (sorry if I got that wrong) and she was excellent! She did a nice job interviewing me prior and then paying attention to those areas I complained about.
Next time I’m in town, I’ll book more services to spend more time in this spa!Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Despite us arriving late, since we live in Baton Rouge, LA, the staff at The Woodhouse Day Spa was very nice and accommodating. The parking is typical street parking in New Orleans, They have acute little store to purchase items. A locker room with changing rooms, shower, bathrooms, etc. The massaging rooms are individual rooms down different corridors in the hallway. The massage itself was really nice and relaxing. I wish we weren't rushed, but I would definitely go back.Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - psbmoreBaltimore, MD64 contributionsWhat a cool place and Amy is such a talented instructor! I did a girls weekend with my cousins October 2023, visiting New Orleans for the first time and we took a shot at the intro to Pole level 1 class. Amy was our AMAZING instructor, she was sweet and funny and went around and helped each individual person and made you feel comfortable in trying something new. The 1.5hr class was plenty of time to learn and practice a few moves, it also peaked my interest enough to look into some classes in my hometown in the future. The class itself was a mix of people taking their first class and what seemed like maybe their 2nd or 3rd class as they had a grip on some of the basics more than people like me trying for the first time. Also a large mix of ages and athletic ability.
I recommend getting to the class early to start stretching, someone showed up to the class 35 minutes late and was turned away. I felt a little bad for the girl BUT was 100% in agreement with the studio for doing so as the start of the class includes warm up which is VERY necessary to help prevent any injuries plus the instructor would have had to spend extra time catching that person up with the routine which would have taken away from everyone else who showed up on time. So don’t be late, because the class is SO worth it and you will want to use every minute you have with the lovely Amy. If I’m back in New Orleans I will certainly be coming back.Written 25 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
