Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is so much fun! Everyone knows most of us can't afford to buy the things they have there, and they're quite okay with people just treating it as a museum/attraction. Great stuff, e.g when we went, Prince's jewelry was there for sale. Huge variety from all eras and styles. We actually went in May 2021, but Tripadvisor won't let me choose that option.

My experience here was very positive. The staff were helpful and informative
and were willing to show me some items which had yet to be formally processed.
I was very impressed with the number and quality of swords and firearms on
display. They also had many old coins and jewelry.

I purchased a lovey vintage piece from this shop and had it shipped to my home. When I experienced difficulties with the delivery from the USPS I called the store to see if they could assist me from their end. I received very timely phone calls and messages from their associate, Dana. She adopted my struggles and spent much time, effort, and thought into how to best handle my situation. I am pleased to say, everything worked out and my piece was successfully delivered! I can't thank Dana enough for her dedication to costumer service! I highly recommend this shop on if you visit to New Orleans! You will not be disappointed with their excellent selection of antiques/estate jewelry and their customer service!

An appraiser of antiques, arguably the best in the city, recommended Duncan Cox at As You Like It on Magazine Street. Duncan is gracious, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable about silver, a skill passed to him by his mother. He patiently answered my questions, going into detail when needed, and addressed my concerns.

I was a journalist for more than 30 years at The Times-Picayune so I am, by nature, a critical person. I also had a bad (and costly) experience with a well-known antiques dealer on Magazine Street and was cautious about entrusting my collection of antique silver to just anyone. I heartedly and enthusiastically recommend Duncan Cox without reservation.

So many antique shops in New Orleans and then there are even more based in the French Quarter. Its sometimes hard to figure out which have real high quality versus others. This felt like they had some real items.

Some very very beautiful stuff for sure! Take a stroll in just to be amazed. It is a little on the price side though, but depending on what you're looking for and wanting to spend, you may find some special treats.

Mr. Harris is a genuine, polite and gracious gentleman who knows about period furnishings. He seems to make every effort to be fair and forthright in his dealings. This is not to say the other Royal Street establishments are not. It's just that Mr. Harris makes you feel more at ease when you're spending a lot of money on old furniture. If you aren't an expert, it is extremely difficult to know what you are getting when dealing in this arena, so you have to rely on those such as Mr. Harris to lead you in the right direction. He is a very likable man, so hopefully he is.

Perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon walking down Magazine Street, browsing in and out of the little shops. Especially like The Shops at 2011. Plenty of antiques and interesting things.

I wandered into the Silk Road Collection not knowing anything about it as we were going down Magazine Street. The individual there was so generous and kind with his time explaining different items and even allowing my girls age 13 to sit on a wedding bed to take a picture...it was so absolutely gorgeous! He knew we were not in a position to buy but this mattered not to him. Thank you for your generosity and hospitality.

This is a fairly small shop but it is packed top to bottom with stuff. Tons of small antiques, collectibles and knick knacks. Wide range of prices. Definitely stop in and check it out

They had a nice selection of antique items. I stopped in there to have a look just to see what they had, and a lot of it was really nice and interesting. If you're in the market for some antiques then this would be a good start.

A nice store with lots of gifts, souvenirs and local wares for sale. It's pretty crowded and packed with merchandise. Nice workers, the place is decently clean with prices standard for the area.
