Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The drinks are good and the music is great. I highly recommend to spend some time in the Cat - we visited (my husband, my friend and I) 3 days ago.
Except for the lady bartender who was apparently annoyed because of my friend and I speaking in Spanish (we speak English with the rest of the people but it's more comfortable to speak in Spanish between us) , everything else was great.

We had heard this place as it’s billed as the oldest operating jazz club in New Orleans. Heard it was hard to get into so we made a point of stopping by late afternoon rather than evening. We were so glad we did. It was an awesome experience with a very cool vibe, great set up for the musicians and seating as well as fantastic drinks. The musicians were wonderful. Most enjoyable!

Came here for a set on the first night of our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. Located in the middle of everything on Bourbon street it was a perfect way to spend an hour and see some Nola jazz.

We walked in and sat at the bar for some great cocktails. The Wolfe Johns jazz band were superb. Great location on Bourbon in Royal Sonesta Hotel

We dropped in for a bit to watch the Jump Hounds. Very entertaining band - try to catch them if you can. The bar set up is okay and allows for a good view of the stage anywhere. But there are only a new tables and chairs so most of the audience is standing by the bar. The two doors are open to the street so you can probably watch from there, too. Just make sure you grab a drink.

If you're looking for a more authentic, less fancy jazz spot this is your place! I've been there with my wife for a night out during our vacation trip to New Orleans and I totally recommend the place. It's a small venue, so make your plans to arrive a little earlier if you want a spot in front of the intimist stage. There's no food, but they have a satisfactory drinks selection.

A small park with jazz themed sculptures, each one a wonderful tribute. Take a poicture of the map at the entrance so that you don't miss anything.

Drinks & live local music. The music is the highlight. Off the beaten path. Street parking. Long bar with music space adjacent and smaller outside courtyard bar at rear. We would return.

We visited the Pam Court the first time we came to NOLA in early 2006 and I'm pleased to say, on a return visit, that it hasn't changed.

This is one of the only places in the French Quarter where you can get good food at reasonable prices, dine comfortably and listen to traditional jazz.

I like the old fashioned bistro type style of the restaurant with the bare brick wall and the convivial atmosphere despite the fact it must seat around 120. I also like that there is a $5pp cover charge as it means everyone contributes equally and the restaurant can ensure that they can book high quality musicians.

The food, whilst not outstanding, is very good and focuses largely on Creole cuisine. We received very good service too.

A great place to spend A civilised jazzy evening in NOLA.

Little dive bar with a local feel, felt a little conscious of being there as a tourist but still enjoyed an awesome night out watching Soul Rebels brass band who were amazing.

A friend and I went to the New Orleans Jazz Market, where I was the only person who was not local. This is a contemporary performing arts venue and jazz community centre for people of all ages. It has a theatre, full size bars, meeting rooms and interactive learning spaces. Local musician, Irvin Mayfield, a Grammy and Billboard-award winning Jazz musician with 25 albums to his name founded the centre. They had their regular Wednesday night jam sessions, where local musicians perform. I thoroughly enjoyed it and saw some of the musicians on the stages of the Jazz and Heritage Festival over the next couple of days. This city is just filled with the most amazing music and unbelievable talent.
