Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Few pleasures are more exquisite or simple than walking through Central Park with a cup of coffee and no particular destination at all in mind. If the rest of Manhattan represents all the responsibilities of life, entering Central Park represents setting aside all that dull care for a looping stroll redolent of childhood.

It never occurred to me to review a park before, yet here I am. It's a convenient and splendid escape from work and life when you need it. To borrow from Thoreau:

"Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads."

My husband and I were at nearby Chelsea Market and decided to walk along the High Line - we did it at dusk which was lovely - we only managed a section but enjoyed the walk. Check the website for reports on which lifts are open/closed although we walked up some stairs to the High Line with no problem.

Absolutely amazing! The talent is unbelievable, and the storytelling is genius! The band, the dancers, and the actor playing Michael were just incredible. This show is amazing.

Great way to see some spectacular views of New York. Probably the best view over Central Park. There is a new attraction called The Beam but unfortunately it was out of order when we visited.

My husband and I walked across at dusk - the timing was accidental but fortunate - I am so glad we did - it made for excellent views in day light and night by the time we reached the other side. The traffic underneath the pedestrian walkway made for a great backdrop of noise. Views were amazing,

The only way to Liberty Island is by using Statue City Cruises - we went via Battery park which had huge queues but can be shortened by buying tickets online to use the fast track lane - security screening was efficient and fast. The ferries are frequent and well marked on Liberty Island and Ellis Island and ticket price includes the Statue of Liberty Museum (and Ellis Island Immigration Museum). The walk around the Statue of Liberty is just lovely and iconic of New York.

A beautiful building with a fascinating history and stunning architecture that makes a grand impression! I stayed in a hotel nearby and couldn't resist walking through the station at every opportunity. The windows, chandeliers, and arched halls are incredible. It's hard to believe that the main concourse walls are made from artificial stone that had been molded and tinted to simulate French limestone, which is used in Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Statue of Liberty's base, and the Empire State Building's lobby. If you're in New York, add this to your bucket list of things to do – you'll have an awesome backdrop!

The Manhattan Skyline is a very impressive view and reminds me of when New York features in films and tv shows. It was great seeing this view for free from the Staten Island Ferry.

no place quite like this in the world. So much activity on a Tuesday evening in June. There were musicians, there were acrobats, there were people from all around the world and there were lights. Don't go to Manhattan and miss this. It wasn't my first time, probably not my last time to visit.

A much enjoyed trip. No ticket needed - just turn up and board. Boarding looks mad with the queues but was easy both ways - plenty of seats available and some fabulous views. A must I feel.

One of my favorite parks in New York. You can find an activity every weekend from 7 to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. You can have a great time with the Bank of America's organization. Has a picnic area.

One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the US and the observatory offers 360 degree views for miles. The history and the legacy is awing, as you think about how this tourist destination would not exist had it not been for 9/11. I went on a clear day and had great views. The price isn’t horrible if you just do the standard admission. To me, it’s nothing I would need to experience again but overall it is worth the experience.

You need to go to see it at least once. The Rockettes are around the corner. There’s shopping, food, people watching. Fun to see!

Absolutely amazing Museum. This museum puts DC's Smithsonian to shame. Such great exhibits and amazingly presented. Not sure if its because there is a fee to enter compared to Smithsonian, but $100 for a whole family is not much and you can easily spend most of the day in here. We were her in the summer and it was not that crazy busy.. first you need to avoid the long lineup at the Central Park door and go to the back where there is never a line.. Also, the parking below is easy and cheap and it saves you tons of time walking around.
Kids loved seeing all the places that were in "Night at the Museum" movies and just an overall great place to spend a day.
