Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are visiting New York City and you don't have tickets to a New York Rangers hockey game or a New York Knickerbockers' basketball game or an ice show or a circus or a boxing match or a musical concert, you are encouraged to take the Madison Square Garden Tour Experience to get an up-close-and-personal and behind-the-scenes view of the world's most famous area. Located at 4 Penn Plaza, in Midtown Manhattan, betweens 7th and 8th Avenues, from 31st to 33rd Streets above Penn Station, on Manhattan's West Side, Madison Square Garden or "The Garden" or "MSG" is a multi-purpose indoor arena, the oldest major sporting facility in the New York area,s the oldest arena in the NBA, the second oldest arena in the NHL and the second busiest music arena in the world in terms of ticket sales. It is the fourth venue to bear the name. The current arena was opened in 1968 and has been renovated twice, the last time in 2011-2013 at a cost of $1 billion. It hosts about 320 events a year. Over the years, it has hosted the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, the NFL draft, Stanley Cup and NBA finals, Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and St. John's basketball games. The 60-minute guided walking tour offers unparalleled access to the Rangers and Knicks locker rooms, backstage areas, luxury suites and up-close views of the iconic concave ceiling from the Chase Bridge. In addition, visitors can relive some of Madison Square Garden's iconic moments with the Defining Moments exhibit and Garden 366 Retrospective. Defining moments? See Marilyn Monroe's birthday serenade to JFK in 1962, the Ali-Frazier fight in 1971, the Frank Sinatra concert in 1974 and appearances by Elvis Presley, John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel (who has made a record 134 appearances in the Garden), the Grateful Dead and The Who. Not to mention two papal visits, Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift.

Beautiful structure but was sad to know that people would just jump off.....it was closed off for many years and heard that it is going to open soon.

We had a couple of hours to spare on our last day in NYC and one attraction left on our Explorer Pass to headed off to Madame Tussauds. Itreally is prettyv cheesy, but there has been some effort put into grouping the celebrities and present them thematically. There is also a 10 minute Marvel Universe 4D movie which is entertaining enough.

nice experience overall. NO WAIT TIME and that was my most favorite..part...was easy to find ..not too far from times square...awesome 360 view of the citycovering the hudson river....liberty statue can be seen but from far...Not too scary as it appears...

what i did not like: ofcourse the horrible crowd...1000s of people standing in the same spot for photos..its frustrating to stand in line to take photos at the edge....they should keep a timeslot ...they shudnt allow people to stay there ..some dont leave n stay for hours making the place super crowded..they shud put a band and have a return time so that they r charged once they have return time....I stood for 30 minutes..to take pictures at the edge.....

If you build it they will come. And they, tourists and locals, have. Dynamic space has a mostly upscale mall to loose yourself in for a day, performing arts spaces(some for free) and museum exhibitions in The Shed, The Vessel helix(limited access by ticket).
A great place to spend a day or evening in all seasons.

Do NOT fall for ticket hustlers here. Access is free.

Short walk to Chelsea Piers and boat tours, High Line, Little Island and Chelsea Market for a very full day.

If you have to spend time waiting for a train, might as well be here. Plenty to do, see, eat. I've been asked for money by panhandlers every time i've been through but the amount of them is much less and they're less aggressive than in Newark. Love that you can easily switch between Amtrak, Jersey, Long Island, subway, and bus lines.

It’s NY’s theater district. How could anyone possibly think low rating? According to the internet, 11 of the theaters were built in the beginning of the 20th century. I found a very nice theater gift shop on 44th Street that I thought would have enough business to expand. Besides the typical t-shirt, sweatshirt stuff, a theater fan can also find things like sheet music books for all the musicals on Broadway and 42nd Street. I highly recommend stopping by Theater Circle Gift Shop.

The Meatpacking District is close to the West Village and Greenwich Village and as a result this area has become quite trendy. One must see destination in this neighbourhood is the High Line which is an amazing urban garden however it gets very busy with tourists.

There are plenty of places to get a drink and something to eat around here and I would recommend visiting the area whilst you are in New York.

Incredible show in a beautiful venue...for both kids (ages 6+) and adults. You won't be disappointed. The New Amsterdam Theatre is located at 214 West 42nd Street in NYC. Booster seats area available for the littles. The theatre staff is incredibly helpful. Get your snackies in advance of the show, because the lines can be long at intermission.

Went there for the NY auto show and it was very good. We were a bit disappointed that the restaurants on the lowest level were closed. The three food choices on the 3rd level were burgers, pizza or chicken fingers. There is also Starbucks and concession stands with snacks. Bathrooms are clean. I think there should be another
coffee spot since not everyone can drink Starbucks.

This building has a shell casing that captures the eye of those passing by. This Hudson Yards project is an art center, theater, plaza and a restaurant. Check out their event schedule for upcoming great performances.

Seventh Ave is a safer avenue for a walk after dark. There are many tobacco and cannabis shops along the way. Less of a marijuana smell than Eighth Avenue. Plenty of quality eateries and discount pizza.
