Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Meatpacking District is close to the West Village and Greenwich Village and as a result this area has become quite trendy. One must see destination in this neighbourhood is the High Line which is an amazing urban garden however it gets very busy with tourists.

There are plenty of places to get a drink and something to eat around here and I would recommend visiting the area whilst you are in New York.

Ended up eating our breakfast here and had no idea where we were. I just happened to look up and saw the Macys sign. Tables, chairs, and serenity in the middle of Manhattan. I love NY!

Seventh Ave is a safer avenue for a walk after dark. There are many tobacco and cannabis shops along the way. Less of a marijuana smell than Eighth Avenue. Plenty of quality eateries and discount pizza.

Located along Bryant Park, it is also known as the American Radiator Building as it was built as the headquarters of the American Radiator Company. Completed in 1924, it is a combination of Gothic Revival and Art Deco. The dark brick structure and gold decorations makes for one of the most unique and beautiful historic skyscrapers in New York. It is now a hotel but well worth admiring if strolling near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan.

I was visiting New York and wanted to try and see as much as possible whilst there. I was able to visit the Port Authority Bus Terminal and outside is a statue of Ralph Kramden.

I had never heard of this person which led to a google search of who Ralph Kramden was and I have never seen an episode of the Honeymooners. I found it really great that there is a tribute to a fictional character outside the bus terminal.

Catholic Church bear to time square. Nice old church and impressive stained glass. Simple in many ways.

A unique statue to represent the Garment District. It’s very large and the colour is bright, but I couldn’t tell what it was a sculpture of at first.

So I dragged my friends into the bus terminal to see this interactive sculpture. You need to go in the northern most door on 8th street and it is straight back from the entrance. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and it was unplugged. Why have a huge cage taking up space and not at least have it plugged in for people to enjoy. Either plug it in or get rid of it.

This is a monument in Herald Square memorializing the founder of the New York Herald newspaper James Gordon Bennett. It was commemorated in 1940. The monument is of modest interest, but it sits in the well-known Herald Square on Broadway, location of Macy's flagship store and it's a pleasant spot to grab an outdoor table, enjoy a coffee and take in the pulse of the city.

The rooms are filthy and the sheets are old, faded and tattered. If you lay on those sheets you will need about 5 showers after. I had intended to treat a co-worker of mine but was immediately embarrassed that I suggested this place once I saw those sheets.
