Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the location that my daughter and son-in-law selected for their wedding.

The weather and venue were perfect.

The grounds are beautiful, well worth a visit.

Was an excellent exhibit and very informative especially Walt's family photos and history. There was also a free bus going back into town.

You won't need to read a review to determine if this spot is worth visiting. Just look at the pictures. If you plan to walk any distance, keep in mind that some of the hills are very steep and may be overwhelming if you are not in good physical shape. Do not bother parking in the Visitor Center lot if it looks crowded. There are plenty of other spaces on the street or across the street or futher up the street.

Impressive structure with great views and convenient to Lands End. There's some interesting art here, interspersed with I'll call avant garde period clothing 'tnterpretations' of the rooms in which they are displayed (a seperate exhibit of this artist's work, but I did not pay extra $$ to see). An entire over the top period room set piece is something to see. It's all easily navigable in under two hours, with a good variety of art - the main de Young collection is better, but this is certainly interesting. Not crowded, restful and there is a cafe.

I enjoyed a quick visit her for about 15 minutes. It’s free but the hours were only about 10-4. You can get a pass to ride cable cars all day for $13 which beats $8 per ride.

What more can we say....This place is fantastic and affordable. I am shocked at the fact most of the games always work and I am talking about the hundred year old ones too. Simple and straight forward its a game geeks Oldschool playground. Its at the wharf so it can get insanely busy so for us off season Sundays seem to work well! From Fooseball to Original Time Crisis(Yep) they have a great history of games and coin opentertainment.

What a great way to spend the day! Just a 12 minute ferry ride from Tiberon. We hiked Perimeter Road around the island, about 5 miles. It's paved and mostly flat with panoramic views of the entire San Francisco Bay. We brought our binoculars and took our time. We saw some deer, hawks, harbor seals, lots of birds, and a cayote. There are many benches and picnic tables, water taps, and some restrooms along this road. Pack a lunch, there are no concessions. At one point, my boyfriend hiked a trail up to the peak and we met back up at the Immigration Station. The island has a lot of history we didn't know about. We would like to go back and explore some of the places we didn't get to explore today.

Really pretty staircase. Slightly out of the way however is worth the visit. Each step is like a work of art - so much detail!

We did the steps actually after the Coit Tower as we headed towards the water. These steps are great as you get to see old school houses and gardens, and there are even areas where you wouldn't believe you are in the middle of a city. These steps are not for everyone as you need to be able to take them in pretty rapid succession, although there are some areas to take breaks.

Great tour guide. I did the tour about 3 years ago and had a blast and this time the spoken tour AND the pours were different. Pedro was terrific and deserves a raise! Have already posted about it and gotten people engaged in wanting to try it again or when family comes visiting. Always been a fan of Anchor as one of my go-to choices for draft at bars and restaurants.

great little find, as soon as you go inside you will be amazed how the crew lived and operated all those years ago, the smells, things to touch, sounds and feelings as you crawl through hatches and tight areas really send your senses wild, it felt very close and oppressive but we loved it.

It’s by accident that I discovered this hidden garden and steps in the sunset section of San Francisco. It’s only 2 blocks away from the famous 16 ST tile steps by the Grand view Park. The path up is the narrow and about 160 steps to the top, I was amazed by the pattern, details of the tiles. And at the bottom left by the entrance , you have cute color bench which matched the overall steps pattern. It’s a amazing sights. With the gardens on both sides, I felt like a little kid wander in the Alice wonderland. You need to see this one for your self. It simply breath taking.

You bus take Muni bus 28 and N train to get here. Remember look for Grand view park & 16th street tile steps. And hidden garden is just 2 blocks north.

We walked in the famous Balmy alley in Mission district.
We were amazed by the wonderful and colourful murals, which allow talented artists to express themselves regarding over human rights and political abuses in Central America.
Balmy alley is the best place to spot the murals in Misssion district!!!

A wonderful way to get exercise and explore the beautiful coastline of Northern California. The California coastal Trail winds up and down the oceanside shore and takes you through some of the most stunning vistas in the country, perhaps the world. At times, you'll feel like you're on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, staring out at the turquoise blue waters of the Mediterranean.

And now, especially during Covid, this is a fantastic way to get outside in a safe, socially distanced way.
