For the first time I went to hear SFS life, a concert/stage production of " Boris Godunov "Amazing hall, incredible production !! Unbelivable accoustics, fantasic orchestra/musisians !!! Absolutely GO !!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t miss the pre-concert talks which are very instructive and often done with a lot of charm by experts.

Amazing performance and theater!
(As a bit of trivia, the theatre was used for the conference in 1945 that became the United Nations.)
Orpheum Theatre
#9 of 97 Concerts & Shows in San Francisco
The Orpheum Theatre is an elegant, intimate and cozy performance venue in the Civic Center district of San Francisco, California, which was first opened in 1926.
This old, beautifully restored theater is worth the high price tickets when such a delightful talented troup performs.
San Francisco Ballet

The website shows perspectives from earth section, which is useful.
The theater is grand and lavishly appointed throughout.
War Memorial Opera House
#13 of 97 Concerts & Shows in San Francisco
The building itself is beautiful with historical significance but the performances offer the magic of sitting in a beautiful theater with talented orchestra, dancers, and vocalists dazzling you with their craft.
This facility is beautiful and classic and for shows like opera and ballet i prefer that aesthetic over a more contemporary look.

Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall

The Davies Symphony Hall was a modern theater with comfortable seating and excellent acoustics.

Herbst Theatre
#36 of 97 Concerts & Shows in San Francisco
In the theater, there were five gigantic chandeliers hanging ftom the blue ceiling while the wall and ceiling decorations were restored and shined in their original colors.
The Herbst Theatre was renovated not that long ago, and it's very nice.

The theatre is walkable from Union Square so an easy activity to add on to your trip!
... know the difference) I've brought many friends and I would highly recommend The Infinite Wrench to anyone even mildly interested in alternative theater or just want something fun and different to do in SF!
