Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

    Amazing Experience.

My family and I swam from Alcatraz island to Aquatic Park on August 29th 2022.

My son was 16 my wife and I, 48. None of us are brilliant swimmers but we did do some pool and open water training so we weren't complete novices.

Coach Kathy was great with helping me get organised on to a group booking so there were 20 of us in total (we tagged along with a group of ex Navy Seals....)

A cold, wet and choppy Friday morning, walking in our wetsuits, boots and gloves from Hotel Caza to North Pier - what a funny sight we must have been...

But then we were on the boat and on our way to just off Alcatraz island.

No time to think, just jump in and keep swimming. It was surprisingly warm but really choppy so we slowly made our way across the bay to Aquatic Park. Probably didn't break any world records but we did it.

What a fantastic experience. Thanks Coach Kathy and Water World Swim, you helped make the Barter family US trip a holiday of a lifetime.

We traveled to San Fran,, Napa and Yosemite Park the week of Oct 1-8. The most relaxing and and fun place for me was The Cheese School. We noticed the blackboard outside and decided to check it out. The atmosphere and views were great. The music track was great for background, and the cheese board and wine were excellent. Topped off with the friendly and knowledgeable staff its a must.
If you want great food and wine and a trendy cool vibe its a must on the to visit list.

We chose the macaroon class with Chef Eloise. We arrived at her personal residence for the class. She was very professional and cordial. She had all the ingredients laid out on the table with professional equipment. She also provided printed out instructions for us to take home. The class is 2 hours long. We had a blast making Red Velvet-Cream Cheese Merengue Macaroons! Highly recommend this class for a fun date. I’m excited to experiment in my own kitchen with her recipes.

Had a super nice ride on scenic single tracks with Chris. Chris is great company and very capable. I was picked up at my hotel and the bike was top end. All the other materials were included ( kneepads, helmet). Such a nice break from downtown SF. Highly recommended trip and company!

I just took the 3 hour beginner class yesterday with Lindsay and it was awesome. This class was exactly what I needed and was looking for. She is very organized with her presentation in teaching step by step of shooting in the manual mode, from aperture, shutter speeds, ISO etc. I now understand the basics of my camera, its functions, and really excited to practice what I have learned. She made the class fun, has a wealth of knowledge, clear in her explanations, and passion for photography. I look forward to taking the next class of the Walk and hopefully there after the Lightroom class for post production. I highly recommend this studio and Lindsay if you are ready to learn more about photography and how to use your camera.

A group of around 30 of us visited Jordan's kitchen for a team-building experience in December 2018. The event was very well organised, the chefs were accommodating, experienced and very helpful and we all had a great time. They accommodated all skill levels and dietary requirements. Jordan was a little off with me when I asked to try something that wasn't on my menu and he never did give me my non-alcoholic drink but it was all in good humour and I'd still go back. The food was simply fantastic. everything we made and ate was sublime. If you are considering this place, don't think twice just go for it.

I reached out to Coral when I saw that she was offering tours in San Francisco. We had done three tours with her in Florence, Italy a few years ago and they were AMAZING - so I wanted to share that experience with some local friends. I contacted Coral to see about planning a special birthday tour that included food in addition to wine. She was more than willing to try something new and it was a smashing success!

We started with the best focaccia I've ever tasted from Liguria Bakery. We then meandered the streets of North Beach while Coral told us about some of the history and Italian traditions that continue in San Francisco. We then hit a wonderful small olive oil shop that had an Italian owner who told wonderful stories. We tasted authentic olive oils imported from Italy and tried some amazing cheese.

Then a short walk away, we had some yummy appetizers and Roman style pizza that is truly amazing. The pizza was an "off the menu" delight with pistachios and mortadella - It was delicious and was all paired with Prosecco. Our next stop was an Italian deli where we sampled some cured meats and cheeses. Then to a small wine shop where Coral had two amazing bottles (one white, one red) waiting for the group along with a chacuterie tray. The wines were delicious and things that I'd never heard of or tasted before. She included an excellent pamphlet with a map that described the wines from different Italian regions. She is so knowledgeable about wine and helped educate us on some Italian "rules" for labeling wines. (DOCG designations on labels).

Our last stop was for espresso and cannoli. The tour was supposed to last about 3 hours, but actually lasted a little longer. It was an amazing 50th birthday celebration and all my friends agreed it was a fantastic way to spend a day in North Beach.

If you're traveling to San Francisco, live there, or nearby - you need to reach out to Coral! She will give you a wine and culinary experience you won't forget!

My sister-in-law and I took Cat’s SF Sourdough class and had such a great time! Cat takes you through the entire process and makes it very understandable. We learned about the starter, proofing, shaping, scoring, baking and then eating a giant feast at the end of the class! So much fun! Such great information and handouts. Definitely recommend!!

This was the best cooking class I’ve taken, and I’ve taken a ton. Very authentic and a wonderful teacher. We made pad Thai and it was delicious. Sunshine walked us through every step and sent us the exact ingredients to get. It’s an amazing deal and we’ve already booked 2 more classes!! Can’t recommend high enough.

Meghna is an amazing teacher! The class is relaxed and informal, so you have the option to learn a lot and ask questions. She breaks down the elements of cooking the dishes so they seem less intimidating that attempting Indian cooking on your own can seem. I would highly recommend this for the least experience to the most experienced cooks - especially if you want to learn more about Indian spices in a relaxed setting.
