Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Sean CHaleiwa, HI1,361 contributionsYou need to be a HI resident and obtain permit to be able to access this park. Great area for 4X4 access, hikes, and private secluded beaches. You can see whales breaching (in season), sea turtles, dolphins, and plenty of seabirds. Great place to hit the beaches for the day without anyone around you.Written 9 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CarmenV3Fall City, WA1,258 contributionsThe hike is relatively short and the views are amazing but this is not a “walk in the park” The first 1/2 mile of the trail is a climb over loose gravel, uneven ground and some large boulders. The remaining trail is series of switchbacks of narrow path and more loose rocks. The views from the pillboxes are amazing. Get inside to get some relief from the sun and wind. Before attempting to climb here, please wear appropriate athletic shoes.Written 29 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave MendezHouston, TX11 contributionsMermaid Cave was a nice, relaxing spot. Best time to go is at low tide so you can relax in the cave. It’s easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for but definitely worth the trip.Written 20 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Savannah C1 contributionWe had such an AMAZING trip!!!! Hands down the highlight of the trip and we did not waste a second on this island! These gals were so chill and we saw dolphins, the cutest baby humpback whale, AND the a few sea turtles!! They def know the best spots to go and know what they’re talking about. I even get SUPER seasick SUPER easy and I would hands down do this a million times again! Thanks again for giving me and my family one of the best experiences of our lives! - KenVbisonfanIsanti, MN6 contributionsNicely low key, with only four of us on the tour and an equal number of crew members. Crew was very friendly and personable; their knowledge of the marine wildlife made the trip that much more interesting and we appreciated their willingness to answer any questions we had. We saw humpback whales, both bottle nose dolphins and spinner dolphins, and sea turtles as well as an eagle ray.
Overall, good tour service to go with, definitely recommend!Written 17 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I learned a ton of new tips to improve my baby longboard skills. Very upbeat and great energy. I would highly recommend booking with Danny. Me and my fiancé booked the group lessons and I felt very attended to. Also, important to note, Danny and his crew put safety first at all times and were always on the lookout for our safety. He made sure the wind conditions were appropriate and we surfed in a low key spot. Just go for it! I ended up taking a sick day due to all the sick waves we caught 🌊 Shaka!Written 22 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eunice LAllentown, PA57 contributionsThe staff and instructors were awesome! When you call the shop they are quick to respond back. Also, really made sure to brief us before the dives so that we felt comfortable and safe while diving. The bonus was the homemade hot chocolate Mike brought for the whole group to enjoy during one of our surface intervals.Written 15 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ltdmkellyAnaheim, CA3 contributionsWe had 2 marlin in the boat in the first hour of the trip. The waters were a bit rough but we continued on catching 1 mahi mahi followed by a yellowfin tuna. The captain and mate were awesome at guiding us with getting the fish in the boat.
My only dissapointment us catching over 200 lbs of fish and only allowed to keep 2-3 lbs. per person. They cut up the mahi mahi and shared it between us but refused to cut up either marlin. I understood that would be the case when booking the trip but that needs to change.Written 26 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
