    Devin was an excellent teacher! Our 13yo was standing up and catching waves in no time. He was patient, cheerful and encouraging, and gave us cool info on the reef, wildlife and currents. Highly recommend!

    Such a fun day!
    Surfing was one of our activities we had to do in Maui and trust me this did not disappoint!!! Mario was very informative and helpful, we were able to get the hang of it pretty easily with his assistance. He brought a photographer to capture some photos of us surfing and I definitely recommend them, they were amazing photos including some hilarious ones when falling off. Definitely book this tour!

    Awesome first time surf experience
    Z and JT were awesome. JT really was one on one with my 9 year old son and was able to make his first ever surfing experience a very memorable one. He did great. Z was instructing my daughter and I and we did awesome with him as well. Sea Maui is the best choice for sure!

    Benny and the outrageous adventure
    Benny was great. He gave us really good instructions as first timers. Great spot for practice. I think the length said 90 minutes and it was more than enough time to hang loose! Highly recommend this small business in Maui.

    Just give it a go!
    Best experience ever! Sol - our teacher, was AMAZING for both my 9 year old son and myself (nearly 50!) who had never surfed before. Totally worth doing - we were able to surf and have an amazing and fun time! Mahalo!!

    Our boys (8 and 10) loved their surf lesson
    Our two boys (8 and 10) wanted to try surfing on our trip to Maui in January and the folks at Maui Surfriders couldn’t have been nicer! Our instructor was friendly, patient with the boys, and had great stories about the area. We also purchased the photo package and it was totally worth it! Highly recommend!

    Sharky was great for beginner surfers!
    My three kids (21, 19 and 16) have never surfed before, took a private group lesson from Sharky and rode multiple waves! He did a great job teaching and practicing the basics of getting up before they went into the water, and he was out there with them giving feedback while they surfed.

    Sharky did a nice job communicating with me the day before, explaining where to meet him (he changed the location at the last minute due to wave conditions). He even put a beach chair on top of his car so we could easily spot him!

    The lesson was 1:30 long and I was initially worried that it going to be too short, but that was plenty of time! All 3 kids were exhausted from the paddling (and they are all in pretty good shape!) and were ready to call it a day at the end. Though none of them really wanted to try surfing again this trip, all were glad they had experienced it and have a new appreciation for how hard it is!

    Amazing first time surfing for the whole family
    Our family of 4 had an AWESOME first ever surfing experience with Z, JT, and Devin. Our 7-yr-olds each had an private lesson and Z and JT were so fun, encouraging, and really tailored the time to each kid’s comfort and ability. Same with the group lesson for the parents- we lucked out and it was just the two of us in the group, which was great for me as I definitely needed all the help and encouragement and being placed and pushed directly onto the wave. Devin was great. Still can’t quite believe I stood up on a wave! Also really psyched to have the pictures- thanks Michelle! All around an amazing time and sure to be something we never forget (and maybe even try again?). Thanks, Sea Maui Surf crew!

    You'll be catching waves in no time!
    Myself, My Wife (both in our 40's) and my two kids (10 & 11) all had such a great experience at Island Style Adventures Surf School. Our first time surfing ever. Our surf instructors were kind and patient and knew how to help us all catch a wave and have a great time. The instructors were great with our kids, and they picked it up quickly. They were patient with me and my wife and helped us get there too.

    They went above and beyond to ensure we would have fun and made the most of our time out on the water with them. They also seemed to be having a good time and truly enjoyed their work. Also, their photographer is a miracle worker! She even made me look like I was a pro!

    The beach they do the lessons is conveniently located and very safe. The waves are small but consistent and perfect for learning.

    We had a great time! In the end, we all had huge smiles on our faces.

    So here's the deal, if you are considering booking surf lessons while on Maui, and you aren't going with Island Style Adventures, you're probably doing something wrong!
