What travellers are saying
- DanielMonticello, IL9 contributionsThe widest section of the beach is in front of the Sheraton. This also happens to be where black rock is located. I highly recommend snorkeling around black rock and if your feeling adventurous jumping off black rock. I saw 2 sea turtles and multiple tropical fish. There are many ocean activities and adventures at this beach: surf lessons, paddle boarding, sunset cruises, etc..Written 24 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DanielMonticello, IL9 contributionsWe really enjoyed this easy hike along the coast of Kapalua. The public parking filled up fast so we paid 10 dollars to park just a few steps away. I would recommend going out on the rocks to see the tide pools and to get a better view of the coast line. We loved the view of the island of Molokai and the rugged coast. We also learned that the Ritz-Carlton has to build farther back off the coast because when they were digging during construction they found a burial site.Written 26 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael and Deb... TGilbert, AZ27 contributionsUnbelievable, too big to take a picture. Nice shade in the middle of town. Largest tree in ground size in the world maybe? Takes up a city block.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Regina FIrvine, CA45 contributionsThis bay has many interesting geological features, tide pools, and turtles. It is not as crowded as other beaches. Great spot for snorkeling.Written 18 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- stccaliSacramento, CA7 contributionsGreat experience! I learned so much about coconuts while enjoying the beautiful views and tasty coconut water, milk, and meat. It was a great experience for everyone in my family -- from my older parents (in their 70s), to my wife and myself, to our daughter (7 years old). The owner/tour guide was friendly and educational.
They also sell delicious refreshments (drinks and snacks) at their cafe, which is nice before or after the tour. There is also a small gift shop.
Overall -- a great tour and a good opportunity to support a small, family-owned farm and business.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - V from LittletonDenver, CO3 contributionsGood (somewhat expensive) oceanfront restaurants, but make reservations well ahead of time if you really want to eat at a specific place.Written 10 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lady76BugPhiladelphia, PA46 contributionsI stayed at the Best Western and Baby Beach is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Great little beach for being lazy all day. The shallow warm waters and view are just perfect!Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RM TravellerVancouver, Canada9 contributionsExcellent spot to go snorkelling with your own gear. We rented our gear from The Snorkel Store less than 2km away and spent the morning snorkelling. The reef is only a few metres off the shoreline and contains a lan abundance of fish - we even saw a moray eel.
The beach is also a great spot to pass the time building sand castles with young kiddos. The facilities at the park have a washroom, picnic tables, and a shower to rinse off.
Get there early as parking fills up by around 9am or so.Written 17 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Amy TColumbia, SC89 contributionsWe stumbled on this trail looking for the blowhole since we stopped at the first parking area and was so glad we did. There are actually two blowholes. Climbing over the lava was fun but some might find it difficult. We are fairly athletic.Written 14 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Angie LRowlett, TX1 contributionSuch a sweet little petting farm in Maui! Heidi is such a unique person and you can see she loves the animals. We enjoyed holding the ducklings, guinea pigs, bunnies, and listening to Heidi's stories about them! There are plenty of interesting animals to see and feed! Great time!Written 15 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Veronica HunterMedford, NJ5,880 contributionsI entered the parking lot on the west entrance, off highway 30.
Started the hike around 6:00 am to avoid the heat and strong sun.
The Lahaina Pali trail has no shade but the view from the top is well worth it.
On another day, I started the hike from the East entrance.
Google maps has a marker on the entrance off highway 30 named Maui Demolition, near highway 310.Written 29 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dave W3 contributionsWorth the ride. Get there early. Parking is tough. Bring snorkel gear, excellent fish and turtle viewing by the north side.Written 26 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Romeyn2013Palm Harbor, FL41 contributionsAfter doing some research, we sought out this trail because of reviews. It is located around mile marker 41- there is no sign on the road but the parking lot is pretty distinct and you cannot miss it if you are looking for it. Amazing views and a good family hike- just enough distance and terrain to make it interesting. Yet, not strenuous or long for younger kids and grandparents. Unforgettable views!Written 9 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RainedOnInRedmondRedmond, WA83 contributionsDid Easter Sunday 2022 Mass here with the family. Lovely church, friendly people. And an easy walk to the touristy area of Front Street and the Banyan Court.Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ITRTVirginia37,879 contributionsBesides being known as the capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the Lahaina Harbor was a destination for whaling fleets back in the day. A cannon near the pier is a reminder of the conflicts that existed between the sailors and the Christian missionaries in the 19th century. In contrast, today it serves as the place to begin snorkel, dive, whale watching, fishing, and sightseeing tours. The grounds of the rebuilt Lahaina Lighthouse are open to the public but not the lighthouse itself. From the harbor, you can walk to Front Street where you will find restaurants, bars, tourist and other shops. If you are into history (or not), you can download a map and brochure of its historic walking tour. Across from the harbor is the Old Court House, which has a visitor’s center and museum, and a portion of the Old Fort, once a jail for unruly sailors. Further down on Front Street is Banyan Tree Park, home to the largest Banyan Tree in the United States. Both places are a “must see/do” when your travels bring you to Maui.Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
