What travellers are saying
- LB595San Francisco, CA178 contributionsBloedel Reserve is a place I’ve known of for several years but never visited until this month. The privately owned reserve celebrates nature in a grand way with its expansive woodlands, gardens, and lakes. The manor house is open to visitors and has helpful docents.
I visited Bainbridge Island during a hot spell, which made walking the property’s trails a challenge. Even the famous swans seemed to be hiding in the shade. I look forward to a return visit during cooler weatherWritten 31 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s a moving remembrance, in a peaceful setting (which only highlights the brutality of removal and internment) with a pace and spareness that creates space for reflection.Written 29 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CoralReefWashington2,464 contributionsWhat a pretty park! This was a sunny day and we had great views of Seattle, Mt. Rainier, and even a peek at Mt. Baker. Nice restrooms, children’s play areas, and picnic spots.Written 14 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BeLaZePenfield, NY378 contributionsSmall but very nice museum. Inspiring modern art and good stories in an architecturally interesting modern building, surrounded by inviting restaurants. And it’s free (if you can resist the temptation to donate — that we could not)Written 7 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shelly D1 contributionMy company hosted a business event at Heyday, and what a memorable evening it was for all. I worked with Heyday's Shari to plan the event months in advance to coincide with a tradeshow in Seattle. I can't say enough about her expertise and guidance which was especially appreciated given I am based in Upstate New York. We took the WSF to Bainbridge and bused a group of 50 just a few miles to Heyday. The beautiful, away from it all farm setting, the staff's highly personal service, an amazing meal prepared by a very talented chef, and the beverages paired made for an incomparable event. Heyday is Michelin-worthy for sure.Written 31 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Beth GVallejo, CA24 contributionsBainbridge Island is a wonderful getaway that is very easy to get to. Just hop a ferry from Seattle, and you're there likety-split! It's quiet, quaint, and has plenty to see and do.Written 12 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LB595San Francisco, CA178 contributionsIf you’re looking for a quiet walk among old growth trees, this is for you. Loop trails offer long or short walks among a magnificent forest. I visited Bainbridge during a hot spell, so a walk among the shade trees was welcome.Written 31 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ProMetalSalesSeattle269 contributionsSet in the middle of the island, this lovely park offers a paved walking and bike path around it about a mile+. Lake has ducks and other water birds. Frisbee golf course, pickle ball courts, tennis, and summer concerts. Really nice for recreation!Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andy LAllen, TX1,135 contributionsGreat staff and location to see the operations in action. Nice selection of spirits to taste as well as the Yama single malt aged in Japanese Mizunara oak. The maple syrup aged in bourbon barrels was also very nice. I am now going home with heavier checked luggage.Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- stjohnbeachloverSt. Louis, Missouri 1,171 contributionsWe took the ferry over to Bainbridge Island for the day and while we were wandering around we came upon this museum. It has a lot of history about the island and especially about the Japanese-Americans that were living in the area during the war. The volunteers that work here are very friendly. It is free but they do take donations.Written 1 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- mkgaleBainbridge Island, WA22 contributionsThis is a great park for walking -- either through the woods on the upper part of the park or on the paved trail along the beach, which is wheelchair accessible . Historic military bunkers to explore and the beach is great nearshore habitat for marine critters. Using Park District maps for reference, you can walk along wooded trails from Blakely Harbor Park up to Fort Ward and then connect to Rich Passage and back for a great long hike.Written 5 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ProMetalSalesSeattle269 contributionsThis lovely nursery features many healthy plants, gardening accessories and gifts. Started by a wonderful Japanese man who became an icon of sorts on the island as the fountain of knowledge for all things gardening and an area honoring his parents on the property. His lovely daughter runs it now, well worth a stop to browse and shop.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - casmith79Stratford, CT85 contributionsSummer camp for adults! What a great experience and a wonderful facility. I was most impressed with the quality of the food. Farm to table cuisine that would rival any fine restaurant.Written 22 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
