What travellers are saying
- Gary S17 contributionsThe only way to sum up Curraghduff Farm
"The most tranquil, calming and heart warming experience."
I wanted to organise a special/fun time for a date and decided an Alpaca walk may be a fun experience
I was lucky enough to come across Curraghduff Farm (45 mins North West of Galway City.)
And I reached out to check availability in which the day I hoped to travel there was availability.
We were so warmly welcomed to Curraghduff farm by the both owners and it really set the tone for what was to come.
To say that this was a 10 out 10 experience would still fall short of what it deserves. It was really a exceptional experience from start to finish.
The farm has fantastic facilities which are back dropped with some stunning views.
It was great to get up and close with all the Alpacas. Each with their own names and personalities.
We were lucky to be toured by the beautiful "Alfie" & "Henry" for the day.
The attention to detail was fantastic even down to getting refreshments at the end of our experience.
This honestly is such a fun experience and was worth every penny especially for anyone who appreciates & loves animals.
I would happily recommend this to anyone looking to enjoy having a special experience / day out.
Thank you again to the team in Curraghduff Farm and hope to see you again in the future.Written 26 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was on my "bucket list", but this experience was SO MUCH more than what I expected. Beautiful views! The guides are very knowledgeable, no matter what your horseback riding experience they will give you the right horse for you. Mine was Ruby, and she was a gentle lady.Written 23 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan MEnglewood, FL22 contributionsDo not miss the opportunity to visit the Killary Sheep Farm! Tom is wonderful in introducing you to his life's work with the sheep and Holly, who is the most amazing dog. Got to hold and feed some three week old lambs (made my day!!!!) Also got to try my hand at shearing!! Highly recommend!!!Written 23 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - thetravelroamadCrestwood, KY217 contributionsThis was one of my favorite experiences while visiting Ireland! We were on a 3 day tour of Southern Ireland and spent an afternoon at Glengowla mines. They were so kind and welcoming and they have a nice little gift shop! I loved touring the mine and it was such a unique experience while in Ireland and it was interesting on hearing the history of the mine and the reason it was used, but I don’t want to spoil all the fun! I also loved the sheep dog demonstration and we got to meet Pip the sweetest and smartest border collie I’ve ever met. This was a really fun experience and I would highly recommend a visit here! You will not be disappointed!Written 17 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andy mc guillDundalk, Ireland6 contributionsBeautiful scenic beach with lovely walks for couples. If it was this beautiful in March I can only imagine how perfect it would be in the summer!Written 28 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - snoozermooseBoston, MA161 contributionsThis was a very fun hike with gorgeous views for much of the way up and down. It looks quite intimidating at the beginning but is actually more reasonable and not as long as it looks. It took us about 2.5-3 hours total to hike it. As a moderately experienced hiker, I'd call it a moderately challenging hike. Even in cloudy rainy weather, it was beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip through Connemara!Written 26 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DanLondon, UK16 contributionsThe Sky Road is an absolute must do for anybody touring the west coast or completing the Wild Atlantic Way. It is one of the most naturally beautiful views you will experience and needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. As is suggested in many other reviews, the roads and narrow with some sharp turns, but so long and you take your time you shouldnt have any problems.Written 4 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
