Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant place to go with kids of any age. Staff are really friendly and a great selection of animals. The goats are super cute and the diggers are a real hit for the kids

We parked in the village car park and walk out through the woods and the beach. There are lots of different routes and the main trails are very well sign posted. All in all makes for a lovely relaxing walk suitable for all ages.

24euro for a family ticket represented great value for money in comparison to other similar locations. Lovely walks, lovely playground plus the pet farm. Restaurant was closed so we brought a picnic and we were given complimentary tea and coffee which I thought was a really nice touch. What impressed me most was how clean and well maintained the grounds were, not a weed to be seen, and the animal enclosures were spotless! Would definitely recommend.

A very interesting visit to a restored Water Mill in Wexford. John who's family have owned the mill back generations gave an excellent and informative talk.
We got a full demonstration of the Mill working plus excellent home
made scones and apple tart in the cosy Tea Rooms. Definitely recommend a visit.

It's a quiet small beach but with some great views.I have the absolute pleasure of living nierby, and at any occasion I can drive the with a cup of coffee for a time of contemplation. In summer time, it's very busy beach so there is no place to park.

Finally was in Gorey and had the chance to visit the gallery. Ended up buying an original painting. Claire was very lovely to deal with, we chatted for ages. Definitely worth dropping in if you're passing.

The Duck Restaurant has great food!

Excellent dinner menu. Separate good Vegan/Vegetarian menu. Limited range of wines by the glass.

Avoid tables near the fire which is next to the kitchen!

    Very good service!

Amazing experience, so much available at the hotel, pool, archery, pet farm, outdoor play areas, indoor soft play centre, games room, small cinema.
We went for the Santa experience and never left the hotel to go anywhere else, loads food options on site, our bedroom was ready early which was great as we had allowed extra time for bad weather. Bunk beds in our too. We're a massive hit with the kids, loads of space in the family den suite. Bathroom was massive. Hotel was so clean and so much activities available. Only down side is the swimming pool is quite small for size of the hotel, we were there early in the morning but some families had to queue for others to come out 1st.

We booked to stay here for two nights from 24th to 26th August, this was done via Air B&B

We parked up outside the bungalow and we found the key, as per instructions previously given and we let ourselves in to the property.

As we pulled up in the car, two nosey alpacas, in a field nearby, came running up to see what was going on, on maybe just to say hello. They were called Al and Teddy, they were kept separate from the other alpacas as Al had a tendency to spit, we found him to be very friendly.

We did cross over the fence into the farm area, where we met Catriona, one of the owners of the Lodge, she introduced us to the other seven beautiful alpacas. We were told all about these wonderful creatures and were offered the opportunity to join them in their paddock and feed them. Catriona was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the alpacas, we could tell that they were well loved and cared for.

We were also told about the other interesting adventures we could have with the alpacas including a trek walking them, a trek and picnic with them and a meet and greet.

It was a real delight seeing the alpacas, as we sat out in the garden Al and Teddy were in the field nextdoor and would stick their heads over the fence to say hello, loved it.

It was possible to go trekking in to the countryside on your own, just follow the signs.

At the time of our stay, the accommodation was two double bedrooms, there was a lot of decoration going on, so work in progress and more rooms to be finished.
There was a large well equipped modern kitchen with every appliance and utensil that could possibly be needed. Off that there was an elegant dining area.

The lounge was very comfortable, recently decorated and new carpet laid.

There were a few issues, but nothing major so did not impact on our enjoyment here. The shower needs modernisation. One of the double beds, was a bit wonky, the head and tail boards were bowed inwards towards each other. As I said nothing major.

Despite any flaws or defects we had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time. We loved the alpacas and the qwerky but comfortable accommodation. It was also ideally positioned for us to go out exploring County Wexford reliving times and adventures from our childhood.
It did appear that there was a big Pub, Harneys, nearby, with a fish and chip shop beside it. We walked down the road to discover that the Pub was shut, according to the lady in the chip shop it closed down in January 2023.

We did discover Marty's Bar in the village of Oulart and Lawless' Shop and Bar in Monamolin, both a short drive away.

I had my daughter's 9th birthday in The Stables last weekend. I can not speak highly enough of the team and the whole experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something enjoyable and different to do outdoors. The kids had the most amazing fun doing the obstacle course which is set on the most peaceful, beautiful grounds which are kept pristine. There is really nothing to fault.

Had the most amazing ride with James along the beach. There was only two of us on the beach ride which definitely got ticked off my bucket list.

I’m used to riding on an Australian Stock Saddle which is so very different to the English saddles so I was a bit apprehensive but after about 10 minutes I felt right at home in the saddle. Janes put me on his horse, Sadie, who was such a beautiful, responsive, comfortable and well behaved girl. The super long trots along the sand dunes getting to the beach were fun as they were windy and quick paced. Coming back was even more fun as it felt like we were on a roller coaster with all the ups and downs. The beach ride itself certainly didn’t disappoint. As I was a little more experienced than the other lady on the ride, James let me go ahead and canter until I couldn’t canter no more.

James is an excellent guide as he’s very knowledgeable about the area and clearly loves his horses. He looks after his customers too, ensuring we were safe and happy…..he also took loads of photos.

I can’t recommend Shrule highly enough. It’s a MUST GO!!!
